Pardon me for not knowing, do you mind sharing where you like to ski?

Flatlander here, heading to Big Sky in Feb though.
Also, as the saying goes, "nobody from Montana skis at Big Sky."

@micruz60 might have some insight.

I've never skied at Big Sky, some people love it, but for the price of a day pass there I can get a season pass down the road from me at Lost Trail. Helps that it is local.
Nice place to be!
Straight up mom and pop resort, no glitz, no glamor, just laid back skiing.

Staying in the Bitterroot, or over at Jackson Hot Springs, might be a fraction of the cost of a trip to Big Sky.

Big Sky does have miles more terrain, and undoubtedly better skiing, but if you don't ski very often, is it worth thousands just to ski the basic stuff that you could ski elsewhere for less? Unless you're and advanced skier.
Totally makes sense to ski the basic stuff. We’re definitely going for the steep stuff, big mountain. We won’t be able to do everything there, but we’ll try to do a good bit of it.

What you’re saying does hit home, I should look into destinations that aren’t the big destinations. Getting out there is such a pain we need to make that part worth it.

February should be good.
Thanks, and love watching your build progress.

That makes perfect sense.

I've seen plenty of the tourists this week that only ski one or two times a year, it's comical.

I will recommend trying the small areas:
Maverick
Discovery Basin
Bridger Bowl
and
Lost Trail

Back to Tech, fishskibum, what are you speeding-sleeving

Parking brake drum, the notorious leak.

I know I could just call @orangefj45 and get the double seal kit, but I figure I'll try the budget method first.

I wasn't planning on any of this at this time, I was just trying to get a little patch of paint taken care of......

I do it nice because I do it twice.

It's that time of the year again, Merry Christmas to you all!

What a pain.

You should be skiing.

I'll be there tomorrow through Sunday. The forecast is calling for 8-12" over the next couple of days. We'll see.

Waiting for a care package, might as well get the powder skis ready for tomorrow.

Growing up as a kid I used to LOVE to snow ski!!! But all that got ruined New Years Eve of 1985 when at the ripe old age of 16 I was put into my FIRST body cast (that New Years SUCKED!). Bummer. Fast forward through multiple body casts and so many surgeries that my body looks like a road map with all these lines of scars, and now I live in Florida away from cold weather. Enjoy the fresh powder! At least if you fall it is a nice soft landing.

I did manage to find my way into some waist deep powder yesterday, even went back to swap my skis for the fatties!

It was cold though, my beer slushed up before I finished it.
