Yup, I installed a relay under the hood.

I always prefer to switch high amp loads with relays, maybe it's just something from the day job!

I'm going to take a guess, based on the gold reel seat on that rod, that is my 9' 5wt Orvis Helios rod. My Loomis 6wt rod has all black hardware on it, and I wouldn't have had any of my 3wt rods on that particular stretch of water.
