Good Luck and congrats on #2.

That is always the question.

Next on my list is a raft.

69-70 Mustang Mach 1

a troopy.

Guns

Fly rods

Beer

another 40

ah hell, I have teenage daughters, I'm not buying anything.

except guns.

Congrats!!

thanks! We are having a boy this time around. I’m still hoarding guns anyway - I’ve only got about a decade to stockpile before my daughter is a teenager.

my wife wants a fastback mustang so that may be what I wind up with next - I won’t complain, especially if she’s buying😜

I feel your pain guys. Thought we were through raising our boys but now we're raising our adopted grandson, age 5 and in Baptist Prep $$$. Have all the guns is need, no time to fish or hunt other than treasure/metal detecting/prospecting. Sold the business and retirement is OK though. Good luck and congrats on the coming child.

After looking at the log that I keep it shows a drop in MPG's every winter, usually down to around 10-10.5. So maybe there isn't anything major going on with my 40, but I'll still check some stuff over soon if I can. That lower mileage could come from a hundred different things, 4WD, temps, choke in the morning warming up, heavy foot on the skinny pedal......

I drove it all this week a little more gently than usual so I will most likely see a fair increase.

Now if I can get to a gas pump to fill it up, my card number got stolen so I had to lock down my bank account.

The answer is - it doesn't matter. We're having a second kid in May and I'll be broke for the next 18-25 years  At least I've got my wheeler!
Congratulations, I'm sure that your newest will fully support his dad when the time comes to bring more projects into the fold. Sooooo, have you started scoping for a first car for him? (yes, I'm presuming the gender).

you presume correctly - my first is a girl, we are having a boy this time around. TBD on future cars - the daughter loves my “big truck” so I’m not ruling out that I’ll need to find them both project cars at some point. Just need to make sure the wife doesn’t get the horseback riding hooks in them first 😡.

21 psi in the tires, a little less skinny pedal, better weather, all gets a solid 11.1 mpg, and that is still 10% less than actual mileage.

I dumped some Seafoam in the tank on this fill up, hopefully I can get some time to do a couple of other things soon.

Went fishing.

growing up, I had horses, eventually I got wise and saved money by getting motorcycles and cars.... my wife, occasionally, suggests a horse but my "you're nuts" look has continued to hold that at bay for ... 13 years now... and it's showing no signs of weakening.

What is with all this rambling! I come here to see epic pics of land cruisers, fish and streams, kind of like a Orvis catalog! haha
Soon, winter is starting to release its grip, water is warming up, and bugs are hatching.

All the forest service roads are still snowed in for at least another month or so, but the river is in pretty good shape, this weekend might be good for some dry fly action.

by "dry fly" does that mean m80 lures?

Go figure, it was in the mid sixties yesterday, water was almost perfect. Today, 40mph winds, snow, and low forties for the high.

Maybe I'll work on my 40.

Drove up to a trailhead and took a 5 mile hike. I'm prepping for another summertime backcountry adventure and need to be in better shape this time.

Beautiful, I actually love fishing when the weather is off. You might have to go down to get them but you usually have the river to yourself, and usually have a better chance at a big fish.

A little wrench turning.

Intake and exhaust lash set at 14 thousands now, KC grind cam from Delta. Adjusted the timing just a bit to higher vacuum.

time for a test drive, aka beer run.
