@pngunme I got a box from Firestone today, I will put them right up there with Simms waders now, that is top notch customer service. No questions, no hassle, they just mailed me new bags. Also got a piece of straight 4" stainless pipe to delete the muffler on my truck, the existing one drones so loud under load you can't see straight, got that from Xtreme Diesel.

That's great, Ryan!!

Just as I expected them to do... Better than almost everyone else... And you don't have to ship the old ones back!!

Much safer (and quieter) vacation now!!

Getting them to my doorstep may have been the easiest part. Getting the old rusty brackets apart to change the bags is going to require some serious effort, beer, blood, and sweat. I have already been spraying PB Blaster on everything.

Damn diesel exhaust is as big as the rear axle in my 40!

"Damn diesel exhaust is as big as the rear axle in my 40!"

Looks like an interesting diversion - - so Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!

Finally got back to work on the 40 today, welding a patch in on the passenger side, I did it once a few months ago, but did not like how it turned out.

You know the motto, "We do it nice because we do it twice!"

There is also a rumor of another 40 in my yard!

Excellent welding Ryan!

There was also a 2 week trip to Colorado, 4140 miles round trip with the diesel dually and truck camper! Not a single glitch with the truck or camper, I put in some work to get the whole rig ready and it paid off!

More to follow on that,

There is also a 73 FJ40 that I rescued from the hills of WV, digging deeper into it there is not much left body wise, the hardtop and sides are SHOT, the body is something special, but the engine and drivetrain are all intact.

And the rear may have a locker.......................TBD.

Pics will follow this weekend once I get deeper into that one. Looks like it is going to be a parts rig, so if you guys need something let me know, I will see whats available as I get in it. There is a possible buyer for the whole rig, so I need to tie up that before the parts go flying!
