Looks like the body work is progressing. I just talked to a dustless blasting guy and will be following shortly.

I think the dustless blasting may be a better way to go, albeit a little more money. I am happy with how mine has turned out, they blasted it and shot it with an epoxy primer for about $1000, everything but the doors. The worst part is that I am cutting and grinding a lot of the primed areas off, they will need to be primed again, and the whole rig scuffed up before paint. At least the rust is not spreading and no flash rust after the blasting.

I like what i read about how gentle the dustless blasting is.

I had a quote of $2k for sandblasting and epoxy priming the entire body.

The dustless blasting guy quoted $600 to $700 for tub only. I will probably strip the rest of the panels myself. The more I spray primer myself, the less I want to pay someone to do it.

Lower patch cut and bent today at work. Partially welded in and cleaned up. I started using a piece of copper pipe hammered flat and held in place by a 30lb magnet. Worked like a charm, once I figured out that I need to keep that magnet away from where I am welding. Beer.

Jamming to some Waylon tonight also, reworked a few years before he died by his son Shooter Jennings. Generally a theme song for me.

I like your gumption, sir.

Will differ with you radically about Deutsches Bier. They make some chunky stuff. Stouts and porters.

I spent 2 years over there in Friedburg, when we were not in Graf/Hoenfels <-spelling? or in Kosovo, we did some serious taste testing of as many local brews as we could come across. I have always been a bigger fan of the darker drinks! I liked how every town had it's own distinctive brew style and flavor.

Wow! Your coming along nicely

One step at a time! I have definitely been trying to put in some work this last week or so. The more I get done, the more motivated I get to keep hammering it out.

I currently work at Hohenfels. Don't care for Friedburg area, much.

Dunno why, but suddenly I am getting the yen for a 40 series.

Friedburg wasn't too bad, I like the southern mountain regions better, but when you are young and dumb with no responsibility, being on a two year European party was a riot! Train hard, party hard.

The market is flooded here with Italian and Spanish Army BJ42s. I'm sure they are all trashed, but a 40 series diesel sounds pretty cool.

They would be bad ass regardless!

More welding. Less rust.

Had to run a kid to the urgent care, she got knocked in the head while playing on a rope swing. She has a good 1 inch cut on her head, I stopped the bleeding, but it should get fixed! Good thing it happened before the next round of tacks and beer.

4 staples later, we stopped for cherry limades at Sonic! She is fine, it was just a good slice right on the top of her head.
