Located in Huntsville, Alabama. 1952 1/4 ton jeep trailer. Solid rust free floor. Someone added a tailgate and changed hitch to 1 7/8 ball. Tailgate actually looks good and is well designed with reinforcments. Has trailer taillights wired to 4 flat connector. Original parking brake works great. Original kick stand is back on the trailer. (Removed in pics)
Very heavy duty trailer with leaf spring and shock suspension as well as greaseable shackles. Original pintle ring can still be installed without cutting or welding the ball hitch was welded to removable part of pintle ring.

Good deal...TTT!

That's actually a civilian trailer. Its the non-military version, probably a bantam. They had tailgates already built into em and in alot of cases ball hitches instead of pintles.

That's not a Bantam civilian trailer. It appears to be an m416 as the OP described, but with Bantam or some other rounded fenders. Bantams had very different tailgates and rear supports. Also, this one appears to have a lunette.

It does have an interesting parking brake lever. I've never seen one like that.

Checked the data plate its an M100 predecessor to the M416. Shares 99% of the same parts. Looks like the fenders and parking brake is the main differences lights are diff as well. I have a M416 hence why I'm selling this one don't need two. The ball hitch was welded to the end of the lunette and ring cut off. One nut and a cotter pin and the lunette arm is removed. Lunette arms are still available for these from Midwest military trailer parts as well as ebay. (Same lunette as M416). Tailgate is NOT original. Trailer still has original drains. These trailers were designed to be water tight and float 500lbs in water.
