Picked up my 2001 LC late 2015 from Texas.
I wanted to find one with a few bits already done and I managed to do that.

It had the following
TJM Classique bumper
OME heavy 866
Warn M8000
Metaltech Sliders
BFG KO 285/75/16

When I first got it.

Nice rig, i thought i was the only Asian into off roading lol. Where were you wheeling in those pics? Been looking for a few trails to go on that's within driving distance of DC

Maybe I missed it but how many miles are on your LC?

bought it with 199k right now about 208k. it's not a daily

lol definitely not many of us! those trails are mostly in GWNF some fire roads in MD. VA definitely has more options than MD.

If you wanna get pinstripes and punctured tires I know a great road about 3 hours away in Davis, WV

You one of us too? Lol

When I had the wrangler, I went to a meet up and I was the only Asian at the meet. It was like 100+ jeeps and I was the only Asian, not a single black guy. Wonder why not too many people are into off-roading/over Landing it’s so much fun. Much cheaper than building a 1000hp race car that’s for sure, and no speeding tickets.

Yup I am one of the rare species like you guys!! I am not sure about Jeep, never been to that scene. But Asian loves Toyota, know a few here in Houston and lot more in CA that drive cruiser on mud too! :)

There are tons of Asians wheeling, old and young, new and experienced. The guys I wheel with the most are Asian.

It also seems like a lot of younger Asian guys are starting to go wheeling too. They're buying up all the 5th gen 4runners (they seem to prefer white ones) and bolting up TE37's on them. It's all over Instagram.

OP, I'm digging that front bumper!

Interesting, I haven’t seen any in my area, and lol about white vehicles, yes we do love white for some reason. Must be a west coast thing because they haven't adapted here yet, most Asians my age are still into the racing scene, but they've moved up to GTRs and Bimmers and such and left the Honda scene behind. Some met their demise by marrying too young and having kids and have to drive minivans now. I've gone to several meets and have yet to see another Asian besides me, do black people wheel? just curious lol.

lol.... yeah, i did not enjoy starter either...i did a plank position to swap it

lol I feel like there are plenty of white cars driven by asians here. I noticed you also climb and shoot full frame? just a guess from your avatar/screenname. I'd love me a set of TE37s but I fear messing them up on the trails.

Thanks @reznunt ! I've yet to see another person with the bumper! though I sometimes lust for a slee or dissent

Yep, avid climber and nikon shooter here, i have method wheels in 18s and they look really good, quality is great too. I have a set of OEM tundras for sale now since i swapped over. i was kidding about punctured tires, pinstripes, galore though. Just a really rough unmaintained road not so much a trail, it's called Canaan Loop road near black waterfalls state park.

cool!I'll see if I ever see your truck at ET (I'm usually at the rockville location) well let me know when you are heading out onto some trails! would love to discover new places.

Great build so far, looks like a solid condition truck. Ugh that starter pic... I assume I'll have another one of those at some point in my ownership of this truck...

you mean the M5?

I posted this in the what are you doing thread but here are more details on the lights I installed.
2018-01-16-11-20-30-1-jpg.1612692

They are the knock off ARB intensity lights. I got them on Amazon and if you know how all these sellers work on Amazon you can find them branded under different brands but they are coming from the same factories in China...anyways this is the link to the one I got.
185W black http://amzn.to/2Bxf2UO

The lights arrive with the brackets and hardware and lights themselves. The lights themselves just have 2 wires coming off the back of them. So you need a wiring solution. I was going to make my own but then I found this wiring on Amazon also for some auxiliary lights.
I ordered this wiring kit http://amzn.to/2DOZNM1 with the 2 way wiring. 16 gauge wiring 30 amp fuse with DT connectors should be good.
and then I ordered this switch http://amzn.to/2DSu2Sx to swap out the switch that comes with the wiring.

I should have taken some photos but I basically you wire up 2 connectors from the wiring kit to the lights and that's it. I soldered and used shrink wrap. And then the switch side I got new terminal ends and wired the switch to the harness. The switch didn't come with a wiring diagram but using a multimeter I figured it all out.

The hardest part was getting the harness through the firewall. I poked a hole and made a slit in the driver side grommet and proceeded to push and pull until I got the wiring through. After that it was quite easy.

Here is the switch mounted in factory location.

Mounted in the front bumper. The hardware allows it to swivel on the bumper left to right and then there are 2 locking nuts on each light to lock down the up and down swivel.

Here are some beam patterns on the wall. I still need to get out in the open to see how far they project out. The lights do have a slightly pink/purple hue.

Hopefully this helps out a few people who were wondering about these lights. I'd say at the price I paid they are a great purchase.

That’s a hell of a lot better pricing than the ARBs! They look nearly identical. Makes you wonder about how many products are made in the same factory as the original brand name? Are the ARBs made in Oz? Let us know what you think when you try them out in the “real” world. You know, outside the garage;).
