Hey all - We just moved to PHX (drove into town today). I posted about my AC issue in the 60 forum, so won’t bore everyone, but have a Freon leak in my AC system for sure. Would love to find a shop that you guys have used to help track down the leak.

Any recommendations??

Welcome to Phoenix. Depending on what part of town you're in, I recommend Scott Higgs at Higgy's. Goes by @Cruiserhiggs , and can fix you up. He's in the East valley, but worth the drive for me and I'm way up North by Anthem. Good luck, and there are plenty of AC shops in Phoenix for obvious reasons 😃.

We're going to be in Cave Creek, but fine driving to get good work done by good people.

Nice! Another 62 in the Valley... welcome. You're not too far from me, I'm near Cave Creek road in N Phx. I had an AC shop to recommend up here but they evidently closed last year. Sorry not much help on that.

All good.

We're in the Lone Mountain area, so not far at all. We will have to catch up once we get settled in.

Going to give Higgy a call later this week and set up a time to drop off.

Thanks for the recommendation!

On a not entirely related note: anyone have a trusted AC shop for a Lincoln Town Car around central Phoenix? Basically generic car, but I'd still like to work with someone good. TIA

best advice I got 20 years ago was to go to the place where Police have their cruisers serviced for A/C

and thanks for reminding me that I need to find that place in Baton Rouge :bang:

In Phoenix your going to see the largest number of police vehicles on 22nd Ave south of I-17. Public works has a large maintenance yard for the city's fleet of vehicles. Few smaller yards around the city. Even a few public works mechanics assigned to work directly at police and fire larger facilities. Probably the same for the larger cities in the valley. Fountain Hills may be small enough to use a private garage A/C work on their vehicles.

This is sage advice, particularly given my Panther platform ride. That being said, I'll be calling in a favor for a PD escort...the cops call that area 'the box.' And not as in 'a box of treasure.' Thank y'all!
