I have new motor mounts arriving in the next couple of hours. I’m now thinking that kit doesn’t have mounting hardware... Any idea on the sizes of the bolts, washers, nuts, etc.? I have some old hardware but not exactly sure which is right or if I should use older stuff.

Got the motor mostly seated. A little tough solo but I figured it out. The ratchet strap wrapped around the t case and hooked to the rear axle was the difference. I would just go underneath and go inch by inch...

scaley rust??? good one

I wouldn't use that retard distributor

Oh yeah.... I do have a DUI electronic I could stab in her. Is this vacuum dizzy period correct though?

My 8 foot carpet python got loose years ago. It was missing for a few weeks, one day I walked out to my truck and it was hanging from the frame rail. It took an hour to get him out, not a scratch on him!!! Apparently snakes like boxed frames!!

Ok. An update. Finally.
I learned the hard way that two of my mounts were wrong. The driver front mount was about an inch too wide and the passenger rear was too short. I’ve been beating my head against the wall trying to figure out why this drivetrain wasn’t matching up. This is my first swap of any type. Once I put the two different mounts on, she dropped right into place. Were 45 mints different from swb to lpb OR different from 65 to 66?

Making a little progress now that I got the damn drivetrain bolted in. Clutch master and slave installed. Alternator hooked back up. New fuel filters installed. Dropped a battery in and have some signs of life.

This unique fire truck motor runs like a top. This is without the exhaust hooked up.

Had to break out the ‘65 parts binders for reference. Found a cool invoice from January of ‘84!
