I forgot about this thread!
Rafiki has been great. Since last updated, i've changed a few things here and there to better suit how I use it. It has seen 3 different interior setups. I'll try to get detailed pics of the interior and rear setup. The focus has been mostly there.
The drivetrain has been flawless since rebuild. I did add a G turbo at some point but removed it later. It was making a lot of power but also drinking a lot of fuel. So back to stock injectors, pump and turbo.
We did a lot of electrical upgrades. I have two systems now. Truck electrical that are related to running the vehicle and driver-aid. The other system is mostly when the vehicle is off and we are camping. This system is powered by 2 100amp lithium batteries. I have things like fresh water pump, electric water heater. camp lights. Inverters, fridges, etc. There is a solar panel on top of the roof rack to charge the lithium batteries.
Since Rafiki has 4 batteries now, we upgraded the alternator on the 1HD-FT to 270amp alternator. This has been a great addition. The charge is great, even at idle.
Here are some random trip pics of Rafiki till I get detailed interior pics.
