I recently purchased a '97 LC and it came with, what I assume are, 17" Sequoia rims (pictured). My buddy was worried that the offset was not correct and made the platform too narrow....potentially causing a rollover during off camber trail situations. Does anyone know the measurements on these as they compare to the stock 80 wheels?

Plenty of people have run those without issue. If you're concerned about the offset, adding 1" spacers will put you just a tad wider than factory.

Man your buddy must worry a lot!!! You will be just fine with that offset. We are talking inches of difference not feet.

Curious what the offset is on the Tacoma rims. The 80-series rim is zero offset AFAIK. With wider taller tires - 35" eg you can get some frame rub at full turn. A narrower offset could potentially exacerbate that.

I am running the 17” Sequoia wheels on my LX450.

You will need 1.5” Spydertrax spacers I got from Slee.

I found a 35x11.5” tire which would bring it exactly back to stock width.

See attached photo for comparison. Stock 16” LX450 wheels (painted black) compared to the Sequioa wheels.
