Dissertation forthcoming, but initially impressed with the 5.29s and floored with the Marlin gears.

Several loose ends to tie up, but looking towards shocks. Have to get rid of the stinkbug look, and a little concerned about rebuilding (again) the front DS until rake is corrected.

I can't just swap coils.

Ordering new coils would be expensive and, unless guaranteed to level, not sure a viable option.

Clues?

OE 4.10 R&P front and rear, OE fan clutch, OE front rotors, OE TC gears.

3k at highway speed is way too high. 2200-2500. You don't have to change coils. Just run some coil spacers. Cheap easy and effective (does stink bug mean front or rear is higher?).

Believe he's referring to the front being lower than the rear.

Must be an over sea's thing then . That's how it's supposed to be. When loaded or towing, the rear carries more weight. Usually it's 15mm higher than the front.

3K with 5.29's at 70-75 mph is normal and accepted.

The 1FZ can do 4K RPMs all day long if asked to...with any gear set, with any tire size.

It is the most robust petrol engine Toyota has ever manufactured. And it is also the longest running petrol engine Toyoda Industries has ever manufactured.

I thought he was saying it will be doing 3k at 60mph(100kph). It's not that the engine can't take it. Wasted fuel Eco. And will sound terrible. I personally think 5.29's are a mistake. Should have gone 4.56 IMO.

Fuel economy and 1FZ-FE = losing proposition.

Those are absolutely incommensurate with each other.

Corolla and fuel economy=win!

Well the other factor is the note on the exhaust. At 3k it will drone like crazy. But depending on the exhaust note I guess.
