That looks sweet! Especially the flange!:D

Could not find them for sale anywhere. I found places that had them advertised but after contacting them they said no they were sold out years ago. This one came off a truck that was imported to Canada from Japan and had it on the truck from Japan.

That's my kind of art... keep it up.

I really think you should look at coil overs I'll donate my mounts. Go with a 2.5" body reservoir. It will keep them cool and consistent. I can chuck them up and turn them down if needed

Yeah I would really like to and perhaps in the future, but I am just not sure I am going to be able to swing it right now. First priority is to get it into the body shop and then go from there. I am hoping I can get it out of the body shop before my Christmas break and maybe drive it out and leave it at Robbie's shop....

I think your looking at it back words. Make it proform then worry about how it looks. I'm more into the sleeper and don't care what it looks like

Haha that's pretty awesome! What size is the 2 stroke? I thought about doing a 2 stroke since it gets you a little more umf compared to the same size 4 stroke but didn't want to mess with mixing gas, the noise and the smoke.

Did you use a kit? Or did you buy the bike complete? I really am going off the deep end thinking about this.

Does it use a centrifugal clutch? How is it getting started?

yeah it is a kit from china, you can get them on ebay, of course none of those places ship to CA due to the EPA nazis here but I found a way around that, :). The mixing of gas and smoke is not a big deal. Actually I run amsoil smokeless oil in the gas so there is no smoke whatsoever. The engine is just a little 81cc, but it does ok, have to help it a bit on steep hill with some pedal power but super fun around town to meet up friends for beers, etc. There is quite an aftermarket amount of stuff for them. I have found several little add on's that make it fun. The manual choke really helps alot as I am always fine tuning it while riding to do better on hills, etc. Once you get to know how it should sound you can adjust the choke as you go on hills, etc and get more power. I actually had nitrous on it for awhile but it fouled the plugs so bad I pulled it off, but it was a hoot to punch the nitrous on hills, not really much extra power as it is just whipping cream charges but funny stuff and good for laughs.

Which supra gear box are you talking about? The only real option is using the A343F which is a Land Cruiser gear box that we think just shares some internals with the Supra A340. So the parts the guys are using for the A340 should help us beef up our autos.

If you're talking about the Supra 6 speed. While it is a very strong transmission it was never offered in anything as a 4 wheel drive. So you would have to do a divorce mounted transfer case and I just don't think there is room for it.

Was your A442 a built trans? How many miles on it? A lot of guys are saying they are our best bet if they are freshly rebuilt and built to take power.

Ryan what other research have you done to fit a Supra gearbox? Broke my A442F so thinking of options.

They are all schedule 10 stainless els. So they have an exterior diameter of 1.9"/48.3mm and an inner diameter of 1.682"/42.7mm

That Manifold is looking stunning. What size tubes are they?

Haha I certainly get that but I know the performance side isn't going to be done for quite a while. It's not going to be an easy road to get everything dialed in. Not to mention the amount of downtime there will be. So I kind of want to get the looks sorted and see what I think before I even continue. If I hate the way it looks I might not even proceed. I might end up with a 1FZ in some other platform. Old Chevelle or something lol.

Think she's going to be a sleeper look with some flashy bits.
I personally don't like the stock bumper look. But for aerodynamics the better option.
I would perhaps just have done stiffer springs and kept the ride height the same.

Rebuilt the A442 before doing the turbo do was hoping for good reliability.
All clutch packs seals and solenoids replaced.

So I think I am going to give Elmer Racing of Finland a go at making a 6-1, 1.900" Tial GT42 merge collector.

that is sick!
I used to do 5 axis CNC programming, and worked for a turbo company for a bit making prototypes...
that there is purty.

Very hard to keep the ride height the same and fit a performance tire. Not going to be able to find a 40 series or 35 series tire that's 32" tall unless you go to like a 24" rim and that's just silly.

So I went to a 20" rim and found the tallest tire I could fit. A 295/40 R20. Anything wider wouldn't fit on the rim and any aspect ratio taller was an all season.

Building this truck is forcing me to kind of live in the world of acceptable instead of ideal. So a 29.2" tire with a small drop should look less ridiculous than a 26" tire on regular height like the pics posted earlier in the thread but it might not look perfect. Kind of an all I can do right now attitude.

Think the 29.2" will look just fine at std ride height. Definitely not like the 26" a little to small.

Brake bias etc also less to tune and perfect. Handling should be crisp with just some decent shocks and /or even airbags.

The A343 you say uses the same internals as the A340. Should surely be easier to build a performance box than with the A442 the gear changes are very long.

Thanks, it was definitely a cool piece. I found them on the internet and had never heard of them before, but they gave me a great price they built me exactly what I wanted and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them!
