I don't think it will blow anything up but it will be cool watching him try!

FWIW, when I put my LS1 with 4L60E in my 40 the rear drive shaft snapped the first time I stomped on it on pavement. I suspect it was a bad weld from when it was shortened. But I had a new one machined and never had any problems after that. And if I'm not mistaken the 40 only has an 8" rear end. I was putting out an estimated 450 hp and 440 torque.

Years ago I dropped a built small block in a 1985 Olds delta 88 and spun the output shaft in half on the THD350 three times before my trans builder said that this was the last time. He said we could go stiffer and spend more money but the issue would just follow on down the driveline. "Without a very large wallet torque and lead sled don't belong in the same sentence" was how he summed it up.

Manifold is in hand, pictures do not do this thing justice it is awesome! Marc really came through even though it took forever!! Also received the email from Whiteline that the other swaybar finally shipped! The turbo manifold is pretty beefy at 37.4lbs, I wonder what the stock cast manifolds weigh? Anyone have a set off their truck they could drop on the scale?

That thing is so sexy.

Medusa is INSANE!!

The color looks much better in your pictures.[emoji41]

Yeah funny how they look kind of brown unless you get close up and you can see that cool, blue/purple color.

And I think the beads look really great for all being on round tube at so many different angles. Round pipe is easy to weld with a fixture you can turn it in, this was all balancing and welding odd angles. Dude makes any weld I have ever done look like s***.

I have a stainless weld cleaner of you want to ship it to Orlando :)

Thanks for the offer but I think unfortunately I am going to cover them all up with some high temp ceramic coating.

No probably just the outside. Most of the coating companies won't guarantee any adhesion on the inside of the pipe since they can't surface prep the inside and they can't shoot the ceramic on properly and the last thing I want is ceramic flaking off and going through the turbo.

No rush on weighing the stock manifolds it's just for curiosity really. Thanks!

Are you going to do the coating inside and out?
Did not get round to weighing the stock manifolds tonight will do over the weekend.

Nice, thanks for weighing them! I thought I would have picked up more than 16lbs over stock. Not too bad. :)

Stocks weigh 9.9kg or 21.83 lb

So you picked up a little weight in the correct place.
