80 Series ROTW/ROTM/ROTF offical "Where are they now?" thread (2 Viewers)

I have thought about this for sometime now. Everytime I log on to MUD and search the 80's forum I wonder where most of the original 80's forum members have gone or how their rigs appear in present day. So I thought I would give it a shot and try and build a thread inwhich the past ROTM's members can post a present day description and pic of how their cruiser has evolved from the ROTM days.
This might be asking for too much, as I realise that some peeps have moved on or don't frequent the site as much as they used too. But I thought I would give it a shot! Afterall, who doesn't love 80 series cruiser porn. But more than just pics, it would be nice to hear from the original ROTM members and as mentioned before probably post a description of any changes to theirs rigs or if they still have them. Maybe a before (pic of ROTM from past) and a after/present pics? New dents/dings, mods etc..
Just in case we have forgotten who these members were, I copied and pasted the list from the FAQ's section. So come on fellow exROTM members, what you say?

five years and another 40k later and only issue was with some nasty gas clogging my
injectors bad enough to need rebuilding...

Mine is still standing. The outward appearance remains the same.

It's running 4.88s now and it needs new front seat covers (I got a beautiful set from Shane over Christmas and I need to get them fitted).

Did you find out why your injectors were clogged from bad fuel? Must of been some real sh*ty fuel from bad vender/brand?

i've now got gumby's old rig. had it for four or five years now.

pics since i've had it. after the sliders fell off, i welded on some pickup sliders. i replaced the rear frame to put a full bumper back on. now has 4" hybrid lift and 315s, tweaked arb has been modified. m15000, dual batts with a blue sea block off the second one. will be replacing the ford fuse block too as there are some electrical issues there and it's just too clunky. sometimes run a light bar, roof rack or rtt. fridge, rear storage. lots of mods. need to concentrate on chopping off the rust soon. i've added a few more dents. nice to wheel something and not worry about it tho.

Well here's mine. It really has not changed much either over the past 5-6 years. I got rid of the garvin roof rack and will be replacing it with a couple yakima rack bars. I never really used the rack so I traded it to my pops for a nice kershaw bowie knife. I have swapped out different tires over the years from bfg's m/t, bfg a/t, iroks to Mtr's (old style).
Last year I bought a 08 ram cummins that is now my daily driver. So my 80 has now turned into a weekend warrior/hunting/fishing get to the boonies rig. Over the last couple years I picked up a couple little dings from none-other than trail blazing over branches that swing back up and smack my cruiser's panels. So it has a nice little primered spot on the driver's side fender.
Besides the stuff mentioned above, the only other problems that I had with the rig is a couple egr problems and a leaky power steering pump. Oh yea, a broken speedometer, and a leaky transfer rear output seal...That's it! Still cruising after 230k miles!

Nuc, the 3rd pic is awesome! Looks like you inhearited a good cruiser from a well-known knowlegable forum member.

Ken, that hundy is bad ass! Any inpout/regrets on swapping the eighty for the hundy? IIRC your 80 was supercharged, so the power difference was about the same. I'm sure you've covered it, but why the swap?

No I am not saying the 100 is better than an 80. I loved my 80 and had it for 7 years ( a long time for me), was just time for a change. This is the fifth Land Cruiser I have owned

I purchased Bull's '97 40th 80 series a few montha ago, really happy with it. I've since added a Slee Short-bus front w/a Warn 9.5XP. Haven't had it wheeling yet, but soon I hope !
