I found that with the addition of the ARB front bumper this become the perfect car for DC. Idiots think twice.

I once had a woman stop in front of me on a one-way narrow road. She told me to hang tight for 5 minutes as she had forgotten something in her apartment. I firmly offered to drop it into 4 wheel low and push her car into an open parking spot 75' away. She did not seem to appreciate being forced to park and walk the 75' but front bumper convinced her I could move it for her.

1. 1991 FJ80
2. Tentleton
3. None Yet
4. 210,000
5. No mods yet. Vehicle sat for a solid 5 years, decided to do intensive maintenance and mechanical repair before even attempting to start the vehicle (old fuel etc, not trying to screw up injectors) including:
New Fuel Tank, Pump and Sender (Original was very rusty)
New Radiator and Hoses
New Belts (All Three)
New Water Pump
New Thermostat
New Starter (Installing this weekend, wouldn't start, just getting a click from the starter and hell it was only $95 for an OE Toyota one straight from the dealer)
6. Will be using it mostly around town and finding some fun offroading and what else but Land Cruising.

Looking forward to getting it running and enjoying the great outdoors!

A year behind on posting this, but better late than never!

1. 1995 FZJ80
2. Logan
3. No name yet
4. 249k mi.
5. 2" OME lift, 33" BFG K02's, K9 Roof rack (not pictured). I plan on keeping it mostly original otherwise.
Recent maintenance in the past year includes front axle rebuild, front/rear brakes & rotors, lower/upper control arms, transmission mount, sway bar refresh, fan-clutch, new catalytic converters (that one hurt $$), relay-rod and tie-rod + all tie-rod ends, 2 oil changes, coolant flush, brake fluid, diff oil, t-case oil, and trans drain and fill coming next weekend. I'm also spot-treating some rust here and there and coating the inside frame rails in fluid-film. It was in Utah for some time, so not perfect, but I have 0 concerns about it causing me major issues down the road so long as I keep it treated.
6. Fun weekend driver & future camping build

I've been a car maintenance noob most of my life, so this year has felt like I'm drinking from a firehose. I have been able to do more than half of the work listed above myself. Each time I pick up a wrench, I feel more confident in my abilities to do more. Much appreciation to helpful community members and awesome Youtube channels (2nd gear low, 6th gear garage, and Otramm, just to mention a few) willing to share their expertise to help novices like me out.
