I've helped put together two printed books and its a huge time suck for something that goes to print. I'm only doing PDFs.

But something like this is way more involved than I have time for :flipoff2:

Dude, smartphone app.

Dude, smartphone app.

This has been discussed. We've made our first app four years ago. We developed an app to not only control the 6-axis lens control for 3D digital cameras, but the same app could control our 3D rig for interocular and convergence AND also ingested all of the static and dynamic metadata in real time which was exportable wirelessly via an email to the post house. It was bad ass. Anyway...yeah its a possibility.

Did you know there is already a trailer wiring harness? no need to hack into the brake circuit. Just untuck it from the rear pass-side frame

Hahahahah, the po of my truck could have benefited from this info.

Things I've learned:
If you remove the oil fill cap and set it upside-down, oil will flow off the threads and that oil will end up all over your valve cover later.

Why is this a bad thing? The more oil you can spill the better:p

Did you know:

The 1FZ-FE came carbureted in non-US markets? (known as a 1FZ-F engine)

The 1FZ-FE came Direct Ignition in non-US markets after 1998? (known as the 1FZ-FE except with a significantly redesigned EFI system)

The 1FZ-FE is the second longest petrol engine iteration from Toyoda Industries: 17 years--second only to the F series engines which were manufactured for 37 years. (R series engines were around for many, many years as well but were not manufactured by Toyoda Industries--they were a joint production with Yamaha).

Did you know that a blown fusible link is often the cause for why your motor won't turn over.
About $12-16 from any dealer. Carry a spare.

Dabblin in DYK voodoo but the hitch pin "mod"

Did you know that the front drive shaft Xfer case output flange studs can be replaced with those from a 100 series...no need to buy a whole new output shaft if you have banged up threads.

You mean you can't get them for an 80 series by themselves?

That is correct, if you want the 80 studs you need to buy the whole shaft which is a pricey piece of hardware. The 100 series studs can be had individually.

Beno also has a thread somewhere on the use of 60 series studs (I maybe miss quoting this) for the rear output shaft.

Great job. It will be a nice reference tool to have all this research in a shortcut format. It's already great...

Did you know that there is factory wiring (at least in a 96 80) for heated seats, located under the center console and running over to the plug underneath each seat? All you need are two factory switches and some aftermarket heating pads and you're golden!

Did you know a 60 series hood support rod can be retrofitted onto an 80?

Did you know that the "D" on your instrument cluster is SUPPOSED to light up?

Did you know that you can (or could) get front mudflaps for when you remove your running boards?

Did you know factory drive belts are the awesome?

Not sure if it's been covered, but did you know that there is a short hose at the back of your block that is prone to leaking and draining all your coolant? The "dreaded" PHH.

Did you know that there are cargo hooks in the rear floor under the floor mat? (I just found this a few days ago and already put it to good use)

Did you know that your 80 originally came with Red coolant?

Did you know that you can swap an earlier grille onto a later 80 with minimal work?

Did you know that 80s in some markets had rear A/C?
