Generally they are the old greasy ones with some iron oxide on the clean areas.

You know CPT Ryan, strangely enough, I've been thinken' about opening a welding school. Nuthen' fancy, just a 110 introduction to the finer art of body panel modification. Sort of a slooow roll into the metallurgical arts. Just short of a true "Smithie", if you know what I mean....

My main man, the man in brown dropped off the new heartbeat today.

Wait! Is this the same ‘man in brown’ who saved your rig last month from being blasted by your missus by handing her a package from Needless Marcup? And then he brings you a DUI?

Sounds like a sucker punch to me!

:lol::lol::lol:

:rofl: No, not the same "man in brown". I skedaddled out of Babylon last Wednesday PM. "The Mrs thought it would be a good idea if I "spent some time alone", So me an' the Mule are Bachelors in crime for the next few days.

My "new man in brown" and I have yet to establish our communication bona fides. I guess you could call it the laws of delivery. For example, 1st rule of delivery is, never under any circumstance, deliver parts for the Mule without an armload of Macey's, Needless Marc-up or Victorias Secret for the little woman. There are various hand and arm signals in the Standard Operating Procedures that we have yet to master, and I need to establish a Rally Point in the event were busted doing the parts exchange. These things take time and can't be rushed...There's a lot at stake here. :oops:

I'm currently working out a deception plan for the Trans/T-Case transfere.....:shifty:

@ToyotaMatt

Thanks for catching the "error". Order made it in safe and sound. Thanks for the upgrade.

You can build some credit by carefully making strategic remarks about orders comming in from forementioned venders without being accompanied by a Mule order. This could just save you one accidental mule order every three months, 😉 if done correctly.🤔

I can see this is not your 1st Rodeo....

Heck no, it's not, and if you start that welding school you'll find him to be a bottomless pit of helpful welding insights. Hey, I'll sign up for your first class.

Umm, will it have a Zoom option?

I heard a rumour that it’s going to be a welding school for women within a certain age group, working on my resume now.🤓

In that case I would like to upgrade to the Zoom Zoom option!

Slip sliding away.

After eyeballing the circumference of the new distributer, it occurred to me I was out of space along the engine block. The "mellon" on the new unit is 2-2 1/2x-ish the size of the old dizz. Not going to fit with the original plumbing.

Current plumbing configuration is in the stock location with the original brass water pipe tucked just below the head. So, I'm working through some options. There are two bosses on the valve cover that I think will work.

I mocked this up to ensure I had enough height without interfering with the stock air cleaner. That seems to be a "GO"!

I think the permanent solution will incorporate a piece of aluminum flat stock that will bridge the bosses. I can the hang the brass fitting on the bridge.

Current mockup for demo.

Original location:

Proposed location. Only attached onto one of the bosses. Small spacer to keep it out from the block.

Lower hose routing. clears the alt, fan and battery. I think this will work with the upcoming fuel line routing too. Of course, I'm out of the right size clamps.

Fugly. I think your truck is trying to tell you something:

Other more knowledgeable folks will chime in ... wondering whether it would make more sense in your application to ditch the OME brass pipe and go with one continuous run of heater hose to the fire wall, thus eliminating at least 2 hose clamps and simplifying things a bit. McMaster has rubber coated band clamps for securing hose to cover plate.

That is/was option #2 if I couldn't find a solution. FACT IS< I kinda' like the look of the old brass fitting...:bang::rolleyes:
