There is a switch on the 73 I am working on, above the light switch. It has two wires that go nowhere. I have the main harness out, and it has no clipped wires. Is this factory switch, or an aftermarket accessory? It is not present on the 74, or the 78 I have access to.

Howdy! Not OEM. Probably for driving lights or secret ignition cutoff switch. John

Not stock. Almost 100% positive.

That being said it does look like a rear heater switch as stated above. ALso I notice you don't have one where it should be. Why someone moved it is beyond me.

BTW nice cruiser. I envy your floorboards.

You're just saying that because he *has* floorboards. I miss my '69, may it Rust Into Pieces

I used one like that on my '90 Xcab to fool my kids into thinking it was a "turbo" switch. Just build up the excitement, drive really mildly, and when they scream for it loud enough, hit the "turbo" switch and then start driving like a maniac! My kids didn't know it was just a switch to nowhere until years later ;-)
