thanks

thanks,

I wish I could of done proper paint but that will have to wait till after I move. The seats were a must have I like the original split bench but my back wouldnt put up with no reclining:)

right hand drive

well first there is the right hand drive mod ---NO! Just Kidding

Not a lot is required ---just lighting since it has RED Turn Signals I'll need some stick on ambers that I can run from a terminal block and I'll need a red fog light in the rear off a toggle switch and then just readjust the headlights to the other side so I dont blind 0ncoming traffic with my new Roundeyes!

It will also need an MOT inspection which is just and annual vehicle safety inspection, brakes, steering, lights and and so on

I think this will even be exempt from Roaf Tax over there as a classic vehicle---woo hoo! Watch out Land Rovers:hillbilly:

winch

Got the winch bolted up :)

Looking really good B.Smith, nice work! Classic warn 8274,I am digging that winch! Good luck with the move, where are you going ?

move

Going to the UK, I'll be there for about 5 years this time.

The 40 is going on a ship the third week in June---have to finish the bolting up by then!

Good luck getting all the shipping stickers off the window once it gets there. Mine have been a real pain.

Seeing your paki top on there makes me want one really bad.

Bon voyage betty

Well the truck showed up early by 2 weeks to pick up Betty, I was tempted to keep her here and call the company but I knew the trucker would lose out and leave empty and it wasnt his fault

So I scrambled and got it together tying up loose end best I could before she went--lucky my door hinges and drive shaft nuts showed up when they did.

So as far as the build goes I almost got there but not quite so a little left to do when I get over to the UK and I am disappointed that I had to do a rattle can job instead of a real paint but I ran out of time

Doing the bodywork and paint wont be too bad but I am not looking forward to the windshield install for the second time

So here's the final pics of Betty just before her voyage to Felixstowe port in the UK

UK weather may soon make the paki top turn green! :D

yup

yeah I am a bit worried about that but maybe there will be some products there that will work well--I treated it before it left and I have seen plenty of old Landys with canvas----proabably all greeen though:lol:

You have really done a lot to Ugly Betty since the last i saw it. I wish i could of seen it in person before she went on her cruise. As soon as i get mine legal i'll bring mine over so you can get your fix for the addiction.

Id love to see it from the little I could see it looks like you have the brown interior and it looks in good shape

Thats luxury!
