I am currently putting a 1975 2f out of a 55 into my 1971 40 and have ran into the problem of my throttle linkage. I honestly can't rap my head around how I am gonna line anything up and connect it as nothing at the moment is anywhere near lined up. Any help is appreciated!

Pick one system and use it:
1971 carb, intake & exh manifold, air cleaner, throttle cable & pedal, fuel lines...
or
1975 carb, intake & exh manifold, air cleaner, throttle linkage & pedal, fuel lines...

Your firewall isn't going to have the right holes for the pedal mounting fasteners, the hole for the pedal to pass through or the firewall mounted bracket for the linkage.

I don't remember exactly what I did (it's been too many years ago), but I had to jury rig the hell out of it. Nothing lines up. I will pop the hood and look this weekend.

I took more of a look at it earlier today and am probably just gonna throw a different carb on it because like brian said my firewall doesn't have the holes in the correct spot. I appreciate the help!
