Hello,

I am glad the Land Cruiser badge is back in the fender where it belongs.

I like it.

I reckon it's an interesting mix of 70 series and 40 series. I think it will grow on people over time, like pretty much every car ever built.
It looks good with a bullbar.

As someone who drives one of these for a work vehicle I love the new features and the auto.

This stuff is pretty basic and has been around forever, but buttons on the steering wheel, auto, Apple car play, radar cruise control are awesome and are really lacking on a modern car.

I drive long days at work in 79 series utes, sometimes days with 6 - 10 hours driving, and this stuff may seem insignificant but when you spend a s*** ton of time behind the wheel, I am really looking forward to it.

I know people love the V8 and the sound. This new 4 cylinder will be faster and more efficient. We have our work 79 series stock and even without a bigger exhaust the drone of the V8 wears me down after hours driving it at 100kmph. I'm all for a quieter 4 cylinder.

It still retains its history, still retains its reliability and still has it's boxy shape. It's modernising it but still not bringing it to the cutting edge or anywhere near the 300 series. I feel it still keeps its DNA but adds some new features and makes it a bit more acceptable in 2024.

Maybe as a personal vehicle I wouldn't be that excited about it. But as a work vehicle I ****in love it! And realisticly most 79 series are work vehicles, that's what they are designed for. The 300 series is supposed to be the comfortable tourer.

Difference in marker lights?
Does it have something to do with the 79 Series being seen as a commercial vehicle?

It’s growing on me, when I first saw it I wasn’t sure. Seen this video on YouTube which looks like some of the still shots posted in this thread are from. I personally have never like the Aussie tray backs especially on a double cab, would’ve like to have seen a factory bed. I also want to see a Troopy and single cab with factory bed. I think those will look good. I’m also hearing the 76 series will be available in black in that body only. So kind of excited to see that one if it’s true.

Yup. In Aus when the car gets over a certain weight it gets treated as a commercial vehicle, so it needs bigger indicators.

I didn't believe it at first when a mate told me he had to upgrade his indicators because he got a suspension/GVM upgrade. But sure enough, when I checked all our work cars yup they had the big indicators.
And the 70 series 2023 upgrade with the higher GVM from factory all have the larger indicators.

Hello,

A thought that just came to my mind.

They should have used this front design in 2007, when they redesigned the front.

Instead, they chose that 100 Series-like styling.

that did catch my eye
did you see that guy back that thing up like a ninja too!

I have to wonder if this facelift will come in the SWB soft top for the extremely limited markets that still gets them.

Not a particular fan of the restyle. Also not a fan of the tech being added, but that's from a very specific viewpoint.

My biggest questions are: what happens to the 1HZ, and what happens to the Troopy?

Troopy has been confirmed for next year in Australia.

No news yet from other markets than Australia/Japan, so we don't know for the 1GR and 1HZ.
As the 1GR is still proposed in the 300 it would be logic that it continues (and we didn't heard about any other petrol).
Now the 1HZ I don't know... There are definitely still customer for it but maybe not enough to be worse keeping it...
