Got zero interest after I made that post unfortunately. I hear you about using a cable housing though. Good idea.

Diesel owners, what do you think?
Well, I just got into this. Bought a Fj62 Fire truck... love it. Finding new things for the back burner in my mind, looking for friendly advice from like minded peoples.
After growing up in the midwest Ive seen many a truck, diesel and gas, sporting cardboard or corrugated plastic over the radiator during the winters.
Im thinking for any of us HJ, BJ, Or FJ who suffer the arctic blasts, this could be a great little upgrade. Does the cable run up into the cab? is it the kind of thing that you could deploy when it was needed? or is it something that was done from the engine bay. and kept down for the duration of use?

I’ve actually never seen one of those in the wild. I would love to some day, that way I could better figure out how they work. I have some friends with 12HTs in their 60s - I’ll ask them if they have one.

Mine is a gas engine. 24v ran perfect till this very morning. Drove it on the highway for about 35min. Full tank of gas…. No start. Chokes out, starter is cranking, no turnover. Usually it’s just crank crank boom. I have no clue.

Start a thread for it. I’m sure people will jump in and help!

60 Non-US fog light switch. It isn't easy to source one of those.

Non-US spec 60 stuff: (post some photos if you have some of this stuff on your trucks)

- Rear quarter sliding windows
- D pillar steps
- front wing style windows
- Center console cooler box
- rear AC
- cold spec roll down Rad screens on the diesel 60 series
- rear barn doors
- split-second rows
- rear 3rd row seats
- 60 Float rear axle
- 60 series power radio antenna
- Front bench seats
I have most of this list on my rigs. Added photos of two variations of:
-Third-row seats. 40 series style jump seats and the 62 series third row (more well known in the US in the 80 series)
-Two variations of ambulance doors with and without Jerry can and license plate placement
-Two variations of rear AC. The overhead version is on the high roof, and the D pillar version is on the flat roof.

I also added photos of the late-model door switches and armrests, dual lumber on the driver's set, and an overhead temp and altimeter on a flat roof.

Nice Skyline

Good eye. The Skyline was converted to RHD. It belongs to the guy I bought the high roof from.

Here’s a couple unobtainium bits I want to see:

1. 60 Series ceiling mounted console

2. The little skinny little “map light” thing on the HVAC bezel

I have much want.
I have no 1 in the works, no2 beta sketch/prototype is in my 61 for RnD.
With front and rear dome lights, ambient lighting, map/tactical lighting, spacing to utilize stock visors and a few other special touches. Shelf along the center section.

What would be your top three features in a roof console?

Will update progress in a while at @land_CIA on IG and eventually here too. https://www.instagram.com/land_cia?igsh=MTI5bXYzYnZuMHg2YQ==&utm_source=qr

I follow you on IG. This is awesome!! I’ve thought about trying my hand at making something for a while - I’m just glad somebody’s doing it! I’ll ping you on IG … I have some ideas.

Didn't know aftermarket rear FJ60 bumper corners existed:

Would be interested to see quality. Are you ordering?
