I know pretty lttle about CB radios.

I ordered a k30 which is a 300w antenna and the cobra handheld radio.

I don't have a SWR meter or even know if the antenna is tuneable.

I hope I can get by haha

just finished planning my route to Silverton. Leaving Long Beach, CA on 22nd heading to Yellowstone for a couple days then Rapid City before heading south to Denver and to be in Ouray on the evening of the 28th. My wife and will have driven over 2K miles by the time we get to HIH6. I really hope this all goes as planned... :slap:

This looks wonderful to someone who wakes up to 85 deg mornings and comes home to 100+ deg evenings. Might take a jacket with me!

I could crawl out of the river with a running chainsaw....... that should get the kids relaxed and ready for camping in an unfamiliar location at 9,000 feet in the rain. ;)

Or you could tell some stories too.
I did do this as a camp counselor, scared the bejessus out the campers.

Sounds like a great trip. Have you been to Glacier?

Got my CB installed, Spare tire going on this weekend, finishing up a prototype sleep system and ordering up more of these bad boys in case anyone wants to buy one that doesn't win one in the raffle. ;)

I'm only doing black and orange since they seem to be the favorite colors.

Can't wait to feel that cool Colorado breeze and meet some more folks with a Cruiser problem. :)

We'll get to Yellowstone sometime on the 20th and leave early morning on the 25th! How about you @benc ?

Nice!!!

Are any attendees going to have an Emu Wing installed?

If not I can try to create the time to get at least one side of mine installed so everyone else can check them out.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, here's a pic:

I'm one step closer to actually installing one of the quarter window replacements. I piled the clutter in my garage on one side and bought a bunch of spring clamps.

Now if the kiddos will let me have a couple of hours of garage time tomorrow night.......

Option opportunity for Day 1 and Day 2:

Two of our long time HIH folks, an attendee and vendor have graciously offered to lead a couple of small groups on the Alpine Loop trail. @nakman @BJTLC100 are those guys.

We did not initially offer this as a trail as it quite a long day. Plan on 10 hours on the trail including a lunch stop. However, it's a nice, Colorado high mountain classic. Also, we have a couple of trails reaching max capacity so this would help on that front, as well.

We want to limit the Alpine Loop to 7-8 trucks max. It will be first come, first serve. Email me directly at chris@100sinthehills.com with your name and whether you want day 1 or day 2 (or either) I'll reply in a few days to let you know whether you got a spot.

Thanks

chris

Hey guys, didn't get a ton of response on this. Looking for 5-6 more trucks on Day 1 or 2 to commit to this. Easier for me if we have people choosing now rather than waiting until camp to decide. This trail system will be an epic day up in the Hills, that's for sure.

Thanks guys

chris

I should be in that area around the 23rd, I'm not exactly sure where we are staying yet, haven't had time to plan so I'll make it up as we go, I do plan to run some trails around that area and or the Tetons, pm me your cell number and maybe we can meet up.

Please pardon my ignorance, but what are these?

EDIT: I just saw your signature link, they're key fobs.
