I'm hoping to get mine installed before HIH, but wrench time is going to be hard to find this week.

Lol I need to check the old thread and see if someone did a step by step instructions

Nope. The only real useful info in the order thread is that driver side and passenger side need to be swapped because they come from a market that is right hand drive.

Ok that sounded confusing. Parts marked driver side go on the right hand of the truck. Parts marked passenger side go on the left hand of the truck.

That's the plan. BFGS going on this weekend as well as all maintenance (fluids and filters) brought up to date. All major services are done on this rig.

Trying to find sliders to get to me before next wekeend but have no problem bashing running boards if I have to or I may just pull them off. I only touched the sliders once or twice at HIH3 while not paying attention. Not really a big deal for this type of wheeling.

I would personally pull the running boards at a minimum instead of bashing them up into my body.

@bamabrock i dos HIH5 without sliders no problem!

My computer shorted 3 weeks ago and got replaced but I'm traveling right now and my truck was brought to my house two days ago. I have no idea if everything works. Eek. Talk about bad timing. At least I have lockers now.

Whats the easiest way to get a CB radio going for this trip? I'm not 100% on how I want to mount the antenna so I don't want to spend a bunch of money on the labrak or gamiviti mount just yet.

Any ideas? should I just slap a magnetic antenna on my roof and buy the Cobra 75wxst?

Great time for my steering rack bushings to fail...

I was in the same boat. It wasn't cheapest option, but I liked the flexibility, so I ordered a Midland 75-822 with the car kit and a Wilson 1000 magnet mount antenna. I figure I will cleanly route the coax, leave the Wilson base on the roof, and only have cb and antenna mounted when I'm offroading.

I did about the same thing. @TheForger has a pretty good write up on installing the midland with cleanly routed coax.
