Pulled the tub, rolled the chassis outside, Dollied the hardside corner radii and flattened/straightened out the lower HS edges, stripped the underneath down and sanded down the sides of the tub.

That's all I got in me today guys... I'm beat.

I'll finish up the underneath tomorrow, two patches need put in.. very small and get it ready for the undercoating..

Sorry Danny, been slacking, I KNOW! ... I'm gonna blame my elbow tendinitis on this...

What are you using to strip the paint?

J, I use several things. But, the main strip down is a 7" wire wheel on a 5" Makita grinder. Then a 3" cup brush on a 4" grinder. A pencil grinder with a 3/4" brush for corners. Before I spray the primer I will hit all the hard to get areas with a piece of sandpaper on a wood stir stick. Hell, I've used scrap sandpaper on a Popsicle stick before to get into those really tight spots...

It took me about 3.5 hours to get the tub to the state you see above.

Well... I knew I did too much yesterday. Elbows are killing me.. No grinder operations today. Pained through dollying the front fenders and getting a thin coat of filler applied. Filled up the gas tank with water to check for any leaks. Looks good so far and the water ran clear when filling it up.. good sign there!

Glad I'm not the only one getting old. :) Ice packs and Ibuprofen are your friends. The pan looks great, what's the plan for coatings?

Ron, Unfortunately I'm way past those two items.... Funny how I can weld all day long and massage welds all day but a few hours of grinding and sanding kills me.

Just a couple coat of Chassis Saver for the bottom. The floor will get Monstaliner after the primer.

Thanks, I'll be after it again tomorrow.

If it's tendinitis (tennis elbow, grinder elbow), do you ever use an AIR CAST ? This one is Dune Beige 416 - like 44.

I've been known to simultaneously wear one on each arm - no pain when it's on and positioned correctly.

Charlie (that's the name right) is keeping an eye on your tank!!

It only flares up when I do bodywork. Must be the combination of movements and weight etc.. that my elbows don't like. He was headed to the grill. He's (Charlie) usually not that far away. Usually lays down beside it.

I used this for tennis elbow (tendonitis). It went away and didn't come back.

You can also put it under the seat of your truck and use it to persuade someone without leaving a mark on them.

I think my wife has a set of those. I'll try it.

Interesting Pin_Head - how long did it take you to get rid of the pain? It appears you have to use it for a while to heal the tendon.

If that's the case, Jason may need to wear the Air Cast, to eliminate the pain, while working and use this Thera Band to exercise with...

Thoughts?

I was putting up with pain for 6 months, so I talked to my othopedist friend (he is a back guy) and he told me to try the Thera Band. It hurt a bit the first few days, but you can control the amount of twist to regulate it. After that it hurt in a good feeling kind of way, like it was getting better. After about 2-3 weeks, the pain was gone and it didn't come back (yet). I was amazed.

As a bonus, I now keep the bar under my seat in case I might need to F up a tweeker or car jacker.

Google "tyler twist" for the youtube video on the simple exercise you do.

I'll give it a shot. I couldn't even hold the grinder up for 5 seconds before it started hurting. I only do body work about 8-12 weeks a year BUT DAMN!

I'm bookmarking the Thera-Band Flexbar Hand Exerciser for Tennis Elbow Relief and Personal Defense!

I know that when my right olecranon-to-tricep ligament heals and I am able to again do physical work, I will eventually have tendinitis again.
