Well damn, so brutal an outcome but again no one was injured or worse so I guess plan for the future.Went and looked at the property today it was worse than I was expecting. Not a thing survived. So wild what fire does. The cabin got so hot that the cast iron pan and stove are now one piece yet 10 feet away the girls had sticks tied to the trees with yarn and it’s all still standing and the yarn is still perfectly tied. Not much green left anywhere a few tops that scorched so will see if anything survives the next year. The neighbors are getting a dozer in acouple weeks to start pushing on there place and will put everything of ours under about 5 feet of gravel and dirt and have new pad cut for the next go around when the times right.

Yeah agree but in no way is this the end It’s all part of it. Nothing we could have done and can’t change what’s happened so just moving forward. Just a bump in the road and if you’ve ever driven Alaska roads there’s a bunch of bumps. We will just keep moving and continue the journey of life. Spend a little more time with my pops this trip than planned and see what’s in store next as it comes.Looks like an amazing journey with a sad ending, try to stay positive. Buildings can be rebuilt and that forest will come back to life in due time.
