I would contact Dave. He’s supplied me with some loose items in the past.
I hope I can revive this thread!
I need a second swing out and spindle pivot for gas cans/cooler for my MAF 4plus bumper, does any one know if i can order these still?
or make one using the ruff stuff or A to Z spindles? Spare Tire Spindle![]()
I see you have the drop down tailgate with the 4plus TC. Any concerns with accessing the cargo area with these two in play? Looks like my setup in the works.I also ordered a 4+ tire carrier for my '70 FJ40. I didn't need the cooler carrier so I opted for the tire carrier only. My only concern is there were no installation instructions but I figured them out easily enough. The tire carrier is indeed heavy and well built and the packaging was exceptional. Dave Gore is easy to work with and his products are top notch.
Did make a mistake though. After I got it back from the hot rod shop, they installed the replacement fuel tank and I didn't have enough room to get back to the frame so I could bolt the carrier in. Rather than take the tank out I had it welded in. Not the most elegant of installations but it is secure and it works.

It’s 2025! Did you get one yet? This is a great thread. These how to type threads are the best and should be in FAQ. These threads make dauntaing tasks appear simple. Thanks. I plan on getting one of these for my '71 once it is back on the road and one for my wifes ground up - if they still make them in the year 2025!
I did! I got one for that frame off that was eventually sold and then sold again at Mecum. And I just got another one. Also, thanks to Dave (4Plus) for his donation to GSMTR #34!It’s 2025! Did you get one yet?
I need to run the wiring for the license plate light. How did you run yours?I did! And thanks to Dave (4Plus) for his donation to GSMTR #34!
I can't remember what I did on the Gazoo. I have not put the new one on the latest 40 yet (I just got it a couple weeks ago). I will probably run it inside the rear frame then over the frame between the body with some loom to the basket then wire in some aftermarket LEDs like are on my 100. They are lights incorporated in the license plate mounting screws. The path you took while running it that is.
