Hope you can make it up for his graduation. Safe travels!!!

We'll keep the glitter😄. The dildos will hopefully find their way to someone who needs them more 🤣. Thanks !
If your son comes to 29 Palms and needs anything, let me know.

Been back for a while now but things got quite hectic down here (worse). My shop was right behind the airport..... because the bandits had shot at planes from some houses around , the government decided to clear out 30 meters around the perimeter wall. Needless to say that the shop was within the 30 meters 🥵
They initially sent us a letter saying that we were ok..... so we thought we were. Then, one day two bulldozers showed up 😵. They literally said that they were there to flatten the place.
I was out working when Sheila called me screaming that they had come to destroy the shop and in fact they already destroyed a Dodge Coronet and a Datsun 280 z we had parked in the yard.
I rushed to the shop and was able convince them to allow me the time to move. We agreed on 8 days and started moving immediately.

Needless to tell you guys that 8 day was by no means sufficient but everyone I know came to help .
They came back the next day and said : "Forget the 8 days..... you have 3 days counting yesterday......"

We managed to get everything out in 3 days but we could not rush so much in any sort of orderly manner. We just grabbed everything and threw it in the new building.

We succeeded at getting everything out and the bulldozer simply fattened my place.
Took us every bit of a month to reorganize things . We're not done yet , but we're back working on this project.

Those back doors that we had cut had kind of a v shape at the weld on the outside. There was also some rust spots on the inside that would not take long to mess up the paint.
So I decided to make a pair of door skins.

I added some shots of the truck and of the new place so you guys can see it. This is way bigger.
Anyway, we also started doing the upholstery. Those X5 seats are getting the leather treatment. Here is one seat cover done. I hope to be able to post pics of them done and installed on the seats in a few days.

Man oh man, I’m sure I speak for most of us when I say ‘I can not imagine…’

Kudos to you for having such a good attitude (I’m sure you left some details out…) and pressing on, carrying forward.

New shop looks great, the truck looks great!

You're right. I left out all the details . I was furious at first, then I had a hard time holding back my tears. I won't tell you guys about the 2 armored police trucks that had to come in support of the demolition teams.

The SWAT officers ended up being on my side after they saw what was inside and told the demolition team that called them to understand my position.
To make a long story short, it could have ended horribly for me.

So crazy !! Half a world away and just list night I was thinking of you and your build then I get up this morning and there’s a post from @Blackknight1.
Glad you got everything out
Stay safe

Way to stand your ground and stand up for yourself. I had wondered if something like that may have occurred.
Anyway, glad the build can continue.

This is perseverance. I am speechless, and also very glad to hear an update. I’ve been thinking about you all. Glad to hear from you and keep going strong.
Thanks Mike. I have way too much time and money invested in this thing to just give up on it. I'm not know to ever run from a fight, but let me tell you..... My will power is being tested big time.....

Ok,
Been a while. I have not posted much, but a few things got done. The rear doors look good. I think I'm finally satisfied with how they turned out.
The move to the new shop was done so hastily that a bunch of parts got misplaced and lost. As I was preparing to replace them, a friend called me and asked if i'd be interested in a 1993 80 series cruiser. I said no because I really didn't want to buy another car but when she said : FREE, I remembered all the parts I was missing for this project and said heck yeah!
The car happened to be in the heart of gang land and has not been running for the passed 10 years. They sent me pics 📸 and some videos of it. It's a limited edition with a 1hz engine in it😁
I'm parting out this baby and getting 3 missing differential axles, the transfer case as mine seemed to not be in the best of shapes and anything else I might need. We're keeping the motor, tranny and diffs as spares . Awesome score ! After so much hardship, a victory or two won't hurt !🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏

It's pretty complete and I hate to part out cars but I'm closing my eyes on this one. Paid 100 bucks to have it dragged to the shop. This is gonna save me quite a few bucks. Wish I could let someone here get what they need from it too but there's no way to ship anything out of here. The airport is still closed.

Nice score ! You deserve it !!

It's good to hear from you again. I'm glad you're ok. I was going to suggest that you pull some strings with your son the Marine and his guys to get the 80 for you but, looks like you handled it. 👍 👍
