Not even sure Accutune can help you with that!It sure is....![]()
It is huge . We do get fuel shortages every time bandits decide to lock down fuel terminals. Fuel is also scarce in remote areas and many times ,the quality is questionable to say the least. Are you sure you weren't using a 3 gallon bucket
62 gallons is a massive tank !![]()
Hummm....You may have want to keep a 60 gal tank. Is fuel rationed where you are? If you need to hold some extra fuel in those situations it comes in handy. Fill 1/2 for most days. Add some air bags for when you add 60 gallons.
I would say roll with it you don't need to keep it full. you might need heavier spring for the rearIt is huge . We do get fuel shortages every time bandits decide to lock down fuel terminals. Fuel is also scarce in remote areas and many times ,the quality is questionable to say the least.
The buckets were 5 gallon ones. If you guys think it might be too heavy, I could make it smaller .... let me know what you think the issue might be. It fits perfectly between the rails.....
I know that i had gotten the heavy springs since I knew that I was gonna have that rear bumper. But I am almost sure that "Heavy" springs did not account for 372 lbs of fuel... I am not sure of the current spring ratings, but I will call Dobinson's tech line and ask them what they would recommend. Thanks Broski !I would say roll with it you don't need to keep it full. you might need heavier spring for the rear![]()
My only concern would be making sure it has some internal baffles of some sort to help with the sloshing. That is a lot of fuel moving around a corner. It is huge . If the pocket equalizes, how does it help in a long term off camber situation with low fuel level? Do you just play the odds that it won’t be that off camber for that long? Does it return faster than it goes out of the pocket?Deep fuel pump pocket that level equalizes with the rest of the tank, good for sustained off camber needs. Doing a floatless level sender.
Cool ! We did install baffles in mine. I also decided today that my tank was way too big , so we pulled it from under the truck and axed it right down the center. This brings down the fuel capacity to 31 gallons .Just got a tank built by a race car/ baja guy. Similar to yours. Some baffling ideas for you

Where are you getting the float less sender from ? I am interested in that .Deep fuel pump pocket that level equalizes with the rest of the tank, good for sustained off camber needs. Doing a floatless level sender.
