I joined the 3FE gang back in February. Did a rear heater delete, EGR delete, LSPV delete and Wilwood Prop Valve, and OEM Winch. Dual batteries and new tires soon. Build thread in my signature if you want to follow along.

Thanks for the paint code! I need to order some touch-up paint.

A Wilwood Proportioning Valve allows manual adjustment of rear brake bias. It replaces the LSPV and deletes the extra line running back to the front.

is this part made in JAPAN

or ITALY <

- installed the Cruiser Outfitters , brake master modern update , aluminum body and the float switch on the side of the plastic fluid hopper

id did install the nee paper gasket and dialed in the adjustment , gravity bled ALL four ends all at one time to all Fully Synthetic Valvoline DOT 3 / DOT 4

ran Krystal clear via 4 nice long Genuine NipponDenso crystal clear washer hose long runs ....
:D:wrench::wrench:

to only find out the rear drums and backing plates were packed solid with fossilized organic matter petrified into Kryptonite ...:(

no movement , no bleeding the rear wheel cylinders either ...

led to me creating my first ever set of Fully Loaded Rear Backing Plates .....

i have not received it yet , i ordered it from japan monday of last week

it should be here soon , then need to test-fit and install to verify good fitment

the ID spec. in millimeters is spot on

the hose-wall thickness i am going by visual comparison photos only and it looks like the shoe will fit :)
just remembered this out of nowhere, how did those hoses turn out? sorry should of checked in sooner LOL

Just replaced my brake booster on my 91' 80. Patient is now all well again. Braking had gotten really bad, culminating in not working at all. Took about 2 hrs and not too bad really.

'92 FJ80 in Western MA. Messed with alternator (isn't that completely unique? The older 62s and the 93+ are different), starter (how the ^!@%! DOES ONE PUT THE RUBBER PLUG back in?), exhaust, seats, carpets, transmission shifter), speedo cable, thermostat and dash (different bulbs). Evertyhing else I did was pretty much the same as my '94. Still to come is the VSS and cruise control.
You still on mud? I just tripped over the forum and noticed you were from western mass. I also live in western mass and purchased a 91 fj80 that was parked in a guys yard for about 8 years. I’ve done a bunch of work to it just to get it drivable. I drove it over the summer and I continue to fix things that come up. Just ordered a Speedo cable. Unfortunately it’s developed a small knock in the engine so I’m not sure which direction I’m goi g to go now. The rest of the rig is awesome.

Well. I am super super excited to be able to let everyone know that I think we have it! Manual has everything and is correct as far as I can tell. The other thing that is exciting, is that because the printer is authorized and getting their information from Toyota, we can also get all of the owners manuals printed as well. Small thing, but I am excited :) We are working on pricing and lead times, but they are pretty darn quick since they are done here domestically.

Would this be something interesting as a group-buy? That would help me get our pricing down and I would just pass that through to the forum, thoughts?

Count me in!

Can someone remind me of the name of the secondary fan in our 3FEs? This is the one that will run for a short period after the engine has been turned off, and will run also, if I recall, on climbs? Mine has stopped working, and I'd like to diagnose and repair it. Thanks in advance.

The secondary fan is to cool the manifold after the car stops running. It has nothing with do with cooling your vehicle while it is running. If you have an overheating problem, this is not it.. i would like to get rid of mine TBH.

That fan was carried over from the 2F (and 3F?) carbureted models, where it was probably useful in some cases. I'm not sure if it has much use with fuel injection.

two good working secondary fan units availabe $48 each including shipping.
