master cylinder was replaced back in Sept 2022, new brake lines at the same time. I'm stuck?
i bet the proportioning valves have air pockets in them. Do a search on here and there are many post on how to properly bleed the system. It takes a bit of time to get all the air out and one method is by replacing the factory bleed valves with the speed bleeder and bleed at a sequencing as suggested in the FSM. It took me a few hours with the speed bleeder to get all the air out properly.

do you have larger tires or lift on the 3fe? I disconnected the lever from the valve and safety wired it to the highest setting and it has been working flawlessly for the past couple yrs now. i am on a 3.5-4" lift on 37s.

I did the same thing. Seems to work, but isn’t right.

Anyone have problems with their load sensing proportioning valve? I have a super mushy brake pedal and was told its this valve that has locked up? 91 FJ80, with 236,000 miles. looking for wisdom.

Thanks

Proportioning valve also has a bleeder valve on it. Look into that, position of the arm may or may not affect.

decided to make my first post in here

1991 FJ80 3FE 115k miles

came with a JAOS Bull Bar but I recently took it off, got an OEM belt kit from cruisermatt today in the mail and an intake hose supposed to get here soon :D

On a side note, this was post brake proportional valve replacement and brake booster piston / rod adjusted. I had full brakes until I believe the front right caliper decided to die...

Hope everyones week is going good. Thought it would be a little more appropriate to ask here, can anyone point me towards a replacement for this hose? the one im grabbing in the picture. goes from the air intake to around the IAC. previous owner did some "interesting" work and im trying to get it back to OEM, all help is appreciated

i need this too , i have not found anything remotely close yet oem toyota parts or other Japan made OEM parts either

it was disc. / NLA
21 years ago in 2003 ...

i have however found a straight-section of Japan oem hose that is the same ID and also same hose wall thickness , long enough too !

it does not have to be any type of OIL or petroleum JIS rating code / codes hose rubber because it's pre-throttle body and air-flow direction flows into the intake manifold , NOT sucking outward drawing all the nasty stuff through the rubber hose ...

i will post here when it arrives post install , so everyone can evaluate it including me and discuss the topic as well TECH. wise too .....

oh , btw ...... you
DO NEED to keep this in-place when preforming a text book by the FSM De-Smog ....fyi

Hi there!

I'm wondering if you folks could point me in the right direction.
I've got a 1991 TLC where the passenger side o2 harness failed somewhere above the transmission.

Unfortunately all 4 wires failed and I have not been able to find the ends to splice in some fresh wire.

My question is if anyone has any advice on how to trace the wires, or alternatively is there a way to bypass an o2 sensor signal and perhaps trim fuel based on the remaining sensor.

Thank!

ah figures it was discontinued. exciting developments though with the replacement, would you be able to link the replacement? i'd love to just have ANYTHING besides what I have now, as the connector on it they patched together doesnt allow me to replace my intake hose with my OEM replacement and its driving me insane. Thanks in advance Matt

if you post photos of the harness side female connector plug , both ends please ....
this is what you refer to as the
ends to splice together ?

i am fairly certain these are the 2 rascals here below , but we want to be sure ...

i have not received it yet , i ordered it from japan monday of last week

it should be here soon , then need to test-fit and install to verify good fitment

the ID spec. in millimeters is spot on

the hose-wall thickness i am going by visual comparison photos only and it looks like the shoe will fit :)

Just purchased a new Bible, I’m new to fj80’s but growing up we had one of these for every car we owned, (this or chiltons) I’m not sure how handy it will be if parts become the issue, but it’s nice to have a baseline reference for torque specs, etc.
