So I bought some used 37x12.50x17 krawlers, but I'm not 100% sold. I just got some cheap used mockup wheels. I dont think offroad capability will improve a ton but I'm sure it will a bit. The higher rubber overdrive will be kinda nice. If I use legit wheels they will have far less backspacing than the gx wheels. I kinda think the 35s look better. Maybe because of the 15" wheels. What do u guys think? Should I run em, keep the 35s, or look for some 37s for 15" wheels? Frame height isn't bad at 22". Keep in mind these are just mock up wheels. I know they are ugly. I would probably go with some us wheel smoothies with beadlocks welded on.

I like the 35s myself, even trying to look past the shiny bigwheels, the 35s just seem to fit better.

I run 37s on 15" and I love the little bit extra sidewall. I can go down to 9psi and not worry about losing a bead. They flex and grab really well. I think they look perfect, but I don't have a pic handy.

Keep the 35s. In my opinion, rims larger than 16s make FJ40s look like giant Hot Wheels vehicles .

agree keep 35s. i bet other than the inch of extra clearance the 35 perform better as you can air them down better when you have more side wall

What 37” tires are out there for a 15” wheel? I also try to shoot for the most sidewall I can.

37s on 17s
The blue label krawlers are good tires and the 2 inches makes a big difference.
Loosing some of the sidewall is a big plus when you are trying to eliminate as much bounce on big climbs as possible.

Here is a pic of @RustyNailJustin fj45 on 37s I found from his build thread. The legit wheels help give an idea of what how much the wheels really change the look. Not sure what width wheel they are. He has a bit more fender clearance then me.

Maxxis creepies, a couple of the different types of swampers too. Not many available in 15s.

The 35s on 15s have the same sidewall height as the 37s with 17s, but the 35s are 13.5 wide so their is more contact patch.

I believe those Racelines are 9.5" wide 3.5 backspace
