Dang, I don’t know if I have the help to do that this weekend.
That’s me on the wrench, and someone on the sq hole looking for the mark.
Pull all the plugs. Get under the truck w/ the top of your head toward the front, grab the flywheel and it’ll spin. Look for the marks, clean well and add whiteout.
I do everything alone and I’m just a little 5’5” 130lb female.

😁
So is there marks I can look for under the truck? Or just the small site window on top of the engine?

When you pull the 6-8 bolts from the flywheel cover, ON the surface will be the marls but you’ll have to spin it to find them. They face the front side of the engine on the vertical surface.

As noted in that old threads some find the bb missing so it will be a dimple. TDC line is maybe a 1/2” from it. Some say to not mark both but personally I made sure my bb was just a dot and the tdc mark was a thin line so I could tell them apart while the light is flashing.

So pull the top cover I’m assuming, or is it both covers I need to remove.

Sorry I write the wrong part number.

Timing with the marks painted white.

Truck sounds way way retarded. I can’t see the marks either. Should be much easier to see.

Sometimes the timing marks are hard to see because the flywheel gets rusty.
The easiest way to see them is follow @NeverGiveUpYota 's advice and remove the flywheel cover as illustrated above.

With the key out of the ignition and the transmission in neutral and all the spark plugs out, slowly spin the flywheel by hand (with gloves) on while looking at the front of the flywheel with a light shining on it.

Turn it enough, and you'll see a thin scribed line. That's Top Dead Center. Paint a thin white line on it, masking it with tape to make it look nice.

Very close to it is the 7° timing mark circle/indent/BB that is used to set the timing of the engine. On my 2F it was a carved out divot, not an actual spherical ball.

You can apply a dab of paint on that too to make it easier to see with a timing light's strobe.

Once the paint is dry and the plugs are back in, hook up the timing light and point it at the timing window as you've done to sync it with the 7° timing ball- not the thin TDC timing line.

To adjust the timing, loosen the distributor lock bolt and turn it until the strobe flashes on the timing ball.

Your camera shutter isn't syncing with the strobe so the video doesn't show whether you've timed it correctly or not

Ok the dot is now on the indicator.
That was actually easy.
It appears to have lost some more vacuum in the process though, and the carb has the same tuning problem.

I repainted the marks, you can see the mark clear when the truck is not running. When it is, you can’t see it.
When the light is on the marks they should stand out plain as day. Like @OSS said, must be your phone. Somewhere deep in my thread I know I have photos and maybe a video. If you think you’ve got it then that’s good. My truck was terribly redneck snogged when I got it. It ran but not as it should.

So the timing is correct now, but the carb still has the same issue and the vacuum is low.
Now the top of the carb is exposed and the air breather off.

Just because you’ve got the cover off the carb and air cleaner that isn’t going to affect your vacuum.
Vacuum comes from below the carb body.

I’ll trace out all the vacuum lines in the tonight or in morning. See if something looks bad.
I did a quick once over, but I’m missing some many items on the desmog list. I’ll make a list of what I have going on with pictures.
I must have a big leak somewhere.
