Working out above suggests 1925 rpm is crossing for torque and power, 115 kph... does that sound right Matt?

Looks about right according to the graph but don't have a Taco :hillbilly:

now lets see it on 18psi my stocker handles it LOL

should have mine all done by next weekend

still have to hookup my intercooler and make a front driveshaft and a pto shaft o and fitt a 60 diff in the rear so i have a handbrake

So yours does not actually run 18PSI yet :grinpimp:
 
yep its all hooked up and drivable just not intercooled

its set on 10psi at the moment running nicly with the new clutch and ive driven it a few times with the old fubar clutch at 18psi

Hope you have plenty of spares I fell you will be needing them. Now hurry up and get it together and on the Dyno lets see what ya got.:wrench:
 
Well I had a run about today picked DaveJB up and called in at Awill4x4, few little tests of the Turbo, still learning how the power comes in and where.

Choice of turbo seems to be good the power is smooth and progressive.

The engine it's self as very smooth at idle
 
Matt - how loud is the engine? Does it sound more like a diesel now? 3FE?, 2F?

My 3FE engines have such a distinctive sound. I bet the 2f-ETI does as well.

The exhaust note is very distinctive, I have some on my Sony DVD cam but have as yet been unable to up load it as it's file format is not compatible with the Mac grrrrr, I dug the CD out that came with the cam so I will see what I can do on the lap top now.

Sorry have to go now out of sugar :D
 
I can convert on the lap top the DVD format to Mpeg, took me a while but come on I am old :D

Yesterday was just a blast with a run down to DaveJB and from there over to Awill4x4’s dry roads and a run down the freeway, steady 80kph in 4th press down hard and in the blink of an eye 130kph is approaching real fast at and pulling real hard too. 5th gear in the H55f is the weak link 1,2,3and 4 are strong so I have to learn to stay off the boost in 5th and use it just to cruise.​

Today saw light rain and greasy roads; again staying off the boost makes it easy to drive in these conditions, but put the boot in and the tires just light up and the back gets all wooohoooooo. Could be tempted to run in 4x4 in wet conditions, as it would be safer.​

The next dry spell I will take a run out with the DVD cam and make a few recordings.

For now one very happy man :steer:

I've got a bugger of an essay due on the monday after that, but so long as I am not in serious trouble with it- it will be good come for a drive and a sanity break (and a few beers:D).
The way it is looking, it won't be in the BJ just yet.
