Spent Monday morning at Nitro Gear in Cashmere WA. Gears, lockers, and installation on order. ETA around the end of December or early January. With that being stated I have plenty of other mods and maintenance to complete while waiting. With the training schedule winding down I'll be posting more mods.

I went with 4:88 and ARB lockers front and rear. Based off of these charts and Nitro Gears recommendations.

I have the same lockers, BUT MAKE SURE YOU'RE GETTING THE NEWER ARB LOCKERS!!!
My front locker was an older one (I'm still talking about new product) but of the assembly line earlier and it went bad on me and had to have it replaced.
There's something about the color of a ring, I think the good one is orange?? Ask about it so you don't have the same issues I had. It's and easy fix but still I was without my rig for a week.
Also, let me know how those 4:88's work! I went with the slightly taller gears and love them.

Spent last Thursday night and Friday in the Wenas DNR near Ellensburg WA. Solo camp/sleep set up rocks. With the Weather Tech window shades installed the early rising sun was shut out. Nemo sleep pad and summer weight bag was super comfy.

I tried finding it out myself, and I kind of succeeded. I was trying to figure out where you got that awesome roof basket, and eventually found it.

But how the hell can I buy this and NOT pay $200 in shipping just to get a metal plate across the ocean? Is there an American vendor here? Or is it a "suck it up, buttercup" situation?

Get it from Victory. I did.
Received it in a couple of weeks. Love it!

I came across that shortly after I posted... Victory doesn't list it under the GX so I never saw it until I started poking around the other models. It's probably the route I'm going to take.

1st when I bought mine Kaon was the only game in town.
2nd take 35% off pricing from Kaon as thats the approximate exchange rate discount, including the shipping cost.
3rd buy multiple parts and ship all together. They ship via air on DHL if you order from Kaon, you will have it in 7-10 days.
4th subscribe to their email list they often have sales.

So apples to apples the pricing is VERY close between Kaon and Victory. Victory can price there shelf higher and offer free shipping. Also if you are a veteran they have, I think a 10% discount.

Again no one offered this in the US when I bought mine and the exchange rate with AUS is very favorable to the US customer (35% +/-).

You may be able to work out a package price discount with either company as well. It just takes asking!

So Koan's website is showing Australian Dollars, even after entering my American address? Interesting. That would make the Koan rack $336.98 USD as of today.

Ten dollars more for something that'll get here sooner and is (IMO) a little nicer would actually be the route I'd go.

Well it fits, barely. Fed Ex freight will not help you load it. Eat your Wheaties!

Are you going to paint/powder coat yours white?
It'll be powder coated black to match the rest of the armor. The plan before COVID was to have everything powder coated gunmetal grey to match the wheels. But as span times and the trickle of parts came in I went with black.

In the distant future 3-5 year time frame Ill remove all the armor have it blasted and update the color scheme.

I have a bunch of deferred mods that need to be done. One important mod was license plate lighting. I taped into the factory plate lighting and ran a long enough wire so that I can move the wire to either swing out.

I love how many people forget about the seven pin when they need an accessory circuit or hookups for lights.
What’s the power output of that circuit?

That would be a good question for an actual owner. I won't take delivery of mine until later this week.

On most cars they're usually around thirty amps or so. It's the circuit that most travel trailer companies use to draw power from the car to charge the batteries via the DC-to-DC charger.

Not forgotten. I wanted it on the same circuit as the factory plate light.

Currently the 7 pin is removed from under the rear bumper as their no safe place for it to exit below the bumper line. This is another deferred mod that needs to be accomplished. Finding and cutting a good location in the LFD rear bumper to mount the connector, would have been a nice manufacturing detail.

Someone on here mentioned they had smashed theirs, I looked up the cost its around $400 IIRC.
