Black Hills Cruiser Classic
July 18-22, 2018

We have moved to a new campground so please read details below. The facilities will be a definite upgrade with lots of wonderful amenities.

Please NOTE: registration will be capped at 50 vehicles.
  1. We have moved the Black Hills Cruiser Classic to a new campground for 2018. Headquarters/camping will now be at Hidden Valley Campground. All types of camping sites (full hookup sites, electric/water sites, & tent sites) are available. There are only a small number of full hookup sites available so if you wish to utilize a site with those accommodations please make sure and call Hidden Valley Campground (605-578-1342) to put you name on a site. If you need electric/water or a tent site you do not need to call Hidden Valley Campground ahead of time as we reserve the entire campground for the event.
  2. If you wish to reserve a camping cabin you must call Hidden Valley Campground and reserve that at your own expense as they are not included with the registration for Classic. Please call 605-578-1342 to reserve a camping cabin.
  3. To aid in ordering of event shirts and meals, registration after July 1, 2018 will be charged a $75 late registration fee. Please take note and register early to attend!
Have questions or just want to let us know you’re coming?

We Also run trails Sat or Sun after the 3rd Friday every month if anyone is ever in the area, The Dakota Territory Cruisers would be happy to show you around.

Thinking about attending this event in 2018. Does registration fill up as fast as 100's in the Hills does? If I attend, this would be the end of a longer trip to explore the area and see the sights. I need to make those reservations early (like now) and I'm just trying to get a sense of how fast the registration fills up to see if it's even worth waiting until April and trying to get in.

we open registration in April, we have at capacity attendance every year for a good reason! if you register in april/ early may your good to go. By early to mid June we are nearing our capacity. If you however lock down dates and reservations locally and need a confirmation on availability contact @BFletch as he handles our registration. He has done an excellent job facilitating all of our participants year after year and is very organized.

@NyNomad Come on back! We cap it at 50 vehicles mostly because of our campground limitations. With the local club members we have close to 70 vehicles participating in this event. We cap it to keep this event personable and manageable with good results consistently.

Half of our attendees have have been coming for 10 plus years and a good handfull have been coming since this event started in 1997. One of the best kept secrets in the TLCA event Lineup. Most of our trails are within a 30 min drive from camp which in turn nets more time on trails.

I had a great time at the 2016 event! don't know when I'll be able to make the trip back over. moving a little closer(NY to NM) around the end of the year. Cruisemoab is the next on the bucket list

so i have a toyota buggy, not street legal, can i still come to this event?

To attend BHCC you either need to have a licensed and insured trail rig or plan on trailering your buggy to the trail each day which may mean that you would have to take a different route to get to a trail vs the rest of the group.

good afternoon,

so can me and a few buddies here in iowa bring our no street legal buggies, mine is a toyota mini, and my buddies are all kinds of different things

thanks

my bad i just saw your reply

what kind of law does south Dakota have about buggies on the shoulder going from trail to trail, or is like 30 miles away?

The basics. License, registration and insurance.
Traveling on the hwy is required to get access to the trails. There are no ditch tracks any longer. Most all are 20-40 min of pavement and county gravel combined till your locking hubs.

That said if you wanna burn off your sticky tires, buggy is titled, insured has lights/blinkers and wear goggles/shades your good to go for South Dakota. No different than the ATVs and side by sides using the roads. We have great buggy trails and a good showing every year.

Trails that have been ran with a full body are below. They are never the same however:hillbilly: body damage/broke parts is likely and expected.

Captain Crunch
Surprise (event only use)
U-bolt (event only use) only ran 4-5 times a year at different local club events.
Fruity pebbles rock garden(endless lines)
Upper Cheerios

Parts of Hal Jon’s and bikini have difficult optional lines for the buggy crowd as well.
