I strategically placed 1x4s, including 2 edge laminated to create a 1x8 for the side supports. The 1x8 is near the rear where it would be inconvenient to have an L section so I added a second 1x for strength but kept everything low profile for maximum internal space.

A 1x6, stacked and glued to the plywood to help reinforce it and prevent tearing in an accident. The plywood is glued to 1x material on the front side in the corners to help hold the corners together and also allow clearance to the front as well as space for uprights for my attic rack.

I have an expansion sheet with a frame out of tink tube for when the loads are a bit heavier.

I will need to notch it to allow it to fit the various configurations

I used finish washers to help prevent pull through.

I basically built a skeletonized torsion box.

I have been wheeling and living with it in some form or another for 8 months.

Most of the big jolts have been from nasty potholes and hidden speed humps.

I only adjusted the bottom piece of plywood, the base structure is still the same and appeared to still be in serviceable condition.

Been enjoying being able to control the KDSS.

I must've missed that part of the thread. How do you control your KDSS?
Dr KDSS makes a relay and switch. If you want your system to disconnect over 12 mph.

Was pretty simple.

Ordered OEM Rotors and EBC Greenstuff pads for the front brakes.

The place I ordered the oem rotors never got back to me so I bought a pair of Brembo blanks from tire rack.

I just did new Powerstop Evolution rotors and pads on all four corners. New brakes always feel really good!
