How much sensor lift are you dialing in?

I did a mild lift .75" lift on mine to preserve a good high AHC position with useful droop travel and geometry (see link in sig), and the ride is no different. Still as plush as it were.

Can someone point me to the thread that explains how to do a AHC sensor lift? Is it an advanced DIY job, or intermediate? Also, I’m curious about the pros and cons of doing it.

Look under your rig. On each corner is a little lever attached to the suspension. You loosen the nut and move the lever a tiny bit. Retighten. Then drive it around for a few miles. Repeat until satisfied. Up in front down in back if I recall.

Thanks grinchy! I do appreciate your attempt to educate me, but I'm probably not experienced enough to figure this out without more detailed instructions. Is there anywhere on this forum where a step-by-step process is laid out with photos? If so, that would be awesome.

I'm really sorry for the newbie question, but when I look at the tire fitment spreadsheet, it's only showing 27 entries. Where can I find the full list?

unfortunately, the original database seems to be in accessible nowadays. We have started this new survey model in order to try to rebuild something similar, but it’s still early days.

So I was looking to get the km3 285/75/17 but they are back ordered up to 8 weeks + due to Covid. And there are only like 13 other options according to discount tire. So do I suck it up and find a tire in that size? Or bump it down to 285/70/17 where there are 60+ tires to choose from. Or could I go bigger? I’m currently running ko2 34/10.5/17. The truck is built upper and lower total chaos control arms and bp51s. Just need some in put.

Don't go down! Never go down in size!

Haha

oh good call. I like that. Thank you!
Please report back to us if you go that route! I've been eyeing the 275/80/17 mtr's but my KM3s are too new at the measly 285/70/17 to justify changing

I did not go that way. I just stuck with 285/75/17. Ive just heard too many bad things about those tires.

Put General Grabber ATX 275/60/20 on a couple weeks ago, no changes to AHC at all and zero rubbing.

Would you be concerned? Definitely not touching but close. Would it rub off road?? Worth doing the kdss spacer kit??

What is your tire and wheel setup? I have a little more clearance then that but not much more. Try cycling the suspension to articulate the front and check for rubbing with the wheel turned.

Do you know your alignment specs? May be able to push the wheel back more by reducing caster which should give you more room.
I am at 3.1 degrees of positive caster with a little bit of negative camber. I would like to get more clearance on both the driver and passenger side at full steering wheel lock as I have a slight rub on the passenger side kdss sway bar. I'd imagine you are seeing the same? Check for a shiney spot on the passenger side kdss sway bar.

This is something I am looking at but need to get some advice from the alignment gurus before pursing this approach. I can live with the slight rub as it drives great with these numbers.

Im using eco corse wheels. As you said very slight rub at full lock. Would the kdss spacer fix this? Just got done this morning

I would assume the KDSS relocation bracket would help but I‘d recommend waiting to hear from some users with real world experience running it. From what I’ve read here the relo bracket stresses/tweaks the KDSS system so it may not be the silver bullet.

based on those alignment numbers I would be hesitant to reduce caster.

nice setup with those wheels and st maxx tires. How do you like them? I was deciding between those and the kendas klever Rts and ultimately went with the kendas to try something different and save a few bucks.

Here are a couple good reads:

Ahhh fair enough. I'll wait around! Whys that is my alignment not that good?? So far I like them only have a few miles on them. not the ones i wanted but my second choose. the km3 in that size are back-ordered 3-8 months. so went with the Maxx. around town no rub but with body roll and off-road it does rub just a hair.

In regards to the alignment, some folks prefer more caster. If you are happy with the way it drives that’s all that matters since you are in the “green”. When I was stock my numbers were in the mid 2 degrees And it drove fine. No complaints. After I Added a lift, bigger tires and also UCAs my caster is over 3 degrees and it drives better then stock which I attest to the UCAs providing the additional caster. Steering feels tighter/solid with the higher caster numbers.

The Maxx seem like one of the best compromises instead of a true Mud terrain. How is the road noise with them vs the K02s which I think you had previously ?

Ahh okay yea it drives good to me. nice and straight. a little bit louder but not much tho. but bigger lugs. ill be heading out town this weekend so ill see how it does and if it rubs any worse
