Over 6.5 years of ownership, still turn around to check out the LX when walking away. Wouldn't trade it for anything, except maybe another 200 series!

Picked up this 2013 with 84k miles from my brother in December, hadn't taken it on a real off road camping trip yet. So I installed some Slee formed step sliders and went up "the hard way" from the Owens Valley CA to Coyote Flats for 4th of July with some friends. Started in Big Pine and headed east on Sugar Loaf Road, camping at Coyote Lake, more trail exploration and then back down to Bishop via Coyote Valley "Road." The rig is fully stock except for 285/60-18 BFGs and the sliders.

Got high-centered on the driver's side slider a few times so we had to stack some rocks on approach & departure and try again. Just the right amount of struggling with a mostly stock vehicle. I was impressed with the capability of the URJ200 after coming out of an FZJ80 for the past 12 years.

Sorry for vertical photos.

These next 3 are 10-second exposures taken at 10pm and 10,500 ft:

The Looney Bean in Bishop... great place for coffee after getting back into civilization:

Sliders did their job commendably. Next up is probably Bilsteins and a couple inches of lift.

Picked up my first LC in April at 152k miles but was in absolutely pristine condition. Flew up to Washington for it, and drove it back down to California. So far the only mods I've done are adding a Hamilton carplay unit, installing an ironman rear drawer / sleeping platform system, and a prinsu roof rack. Tires and wheels came with it and were basically brand new, and it came with Bilstein 6112 front suspension and stock rears. This last weekend, I hit 160k in it on my way up to Bowman Lake & Meadow Lake for her first time off roading with me, and my first time car camping with my friend.

Future upgrades are:
- New suspension for front and rear, thinking Dobinson MRR or Kings.
- New tires and wheels when the tires need replacing, thinking of going to 17".
- White Knuckle rock sliders
- RTT

Took advantage of the chance to go run Broken Arrow during a family reunion in Flagstaff. This was two of the nephews' first time offroading, and they loved it!

because if clear glass is good enough for African UN ones, and all middle eastern LC, good enough for me. True LC status

I dont need to look like a gangster in dark tint in my LC in starbucks drive through and cry about temperature and sun while rest of lc world does clear

i want people to see me and know who I am - that made this excellent automotive decision to drive a LC.

prado people and range rover lessors need tint

true lc people dont

bask in the clear glass glory of awesomeness

let people see your stealth wealth, intelligence, good looks, higher IQ while you drive your clear glass. People see the Pope, The Queen and you - clear glass is for high self confident LC owners
So true! I love clear glass LCs! BUT, I have been installing the clear, heat-blocking, UV-blocking film on all my cars because I live in SC and I hate getting into a hot car on a hot, humid day. It keeps the heat down considerably and prevents the UV from aging and drying out the interior, especially the leather. I love the clear, heat-blocking film.

The ceramic stuff has come such a long way. Both Xpel and STEK offer amazing products.

On Prince Edward Island for my daughter’s softball tournament. Harmony Beach was a great spot for some downtime before the games start.
