Figured I would make an introduction here first before starting a build thread.

Picked up this 2010 LX with around 50k.

And after adding some 275/65R20 Cooper AT3 XLT

I’ve got my eye on those XLTs. How do you like them?
Really enjoying them so far. Coming from Falken Wildpeak AT3, these seem to be a hair quieter. City and Highway driving, and a decent amount of gravel/dirt roads. Ive noticed that these do not seem to throw rocks near as much as tires I have had in the past.

Ooh good to know. I have Falkens now and they have been great but are starting to get noisy after ~ 20k miles and have a few chunks missing from the shoulder.

I've been quite happy with the XLTs too. They ride better and are quieter than KO2s in the same load range. The only (minor) downside is that I feel that the sidewall design is a bit too aggressive-looking against my stock LX but in terms of protection, they're great.

What were the temps like out there during the day and at night? Like @gentimmy said, we will be there in a few weeks, very much looking forward to this trip.
Mid to high 80s in the hottest part of the day. Most of the day was low to mid 70s. Night was in the 50s. The Chisos mountains are always about 20 degrees cooler.

Local Toyota dealership owner just got his ARB for his 2019 LC... Hadn’t seen the new version ARB in person yet.
*He color-matched to his grey Cruiser...

Noticed it simply makes space around headlight washers...

Noticed it’s more “enclosed” in front of wheel well...also a nicely up-angled leading lower edge...

WOW, that looks great!!! Thanks for sharing.

Dare I try to "massage" one to the '16+ LX front end? I'm not sure the squared off bumper would flow well with the angle of the LX head lights?! Here is one done with out the full bar work, I'm meh about it.

The ARB Summit does look nice, but in person I think it really hides the updated body work of the 16. I've used ARB bull bars on my last 2 builds, but I wanted something more streamlined and subtle for the 16 that would accentuate the lines instead of hide them. I do think the ARB is very nice quality and looks good though, and IMO is an excellent value for the price.

Ya, I see that too. One of the differences I like on my TJM T13 is how the uprights are angled to follow the edges of the grill rather than cutting through its lines. Also opens up the center so lights and winch receiver (or control unit) are less cramped (T13 below)...

TJM also makes one for the 2016+ and it’s looks amazing. Follows the headlamp design really nicely. Getting them to ship one though? Good luck. :)

Ya, wondering if the ARBs uprights on the bull bar might help cover that LX funkiness...especially if you blacked out the chrome... ?

I think it could actually work. Anyone on here good with photoshop? I could provide a good pic of the front end of our LX and maybe see how it would look with the full ARB on it! I have been bugging @benc about adjusting his 2016+ LC front bumper to work with the LX so I have high hopes there as well.
