Klondyke, Az Great trails all around that part of Az. Aravapia Canyon is an amazing place. You should look it up if you are exploring southern. Az.

Nice shots and setup, Mark!!

Q for you...
Would you happen to have a photo of the tire mount you've added to your Slee ladder on the left?
Or...could you shoot a few & post details of what you used there?

If/when I eventually end up with a 2nd fuel tank, I'd consider a 2nd spare mount like you have there in place of fuel.
Long trips such as the Alaskan highway or the "haul road" to the Arctic Ocean are examples of when I'd like a second spare.

Thanks!

Mark, Here ya go. As you can see adding an additional spare is quite easy. (I don't understand why Christo doesn't offer something like this as an option). I have been out overlanding more than once and cut side walls. Having two spares for the places I go gives me great peace of mind. Just look at the Aussies they all run dual spares. If you add the 50 gallon aux fuel tank, as I did, along with twin spares, I believe you'll be covered for the long trips north.

Thanks, Mark.

That looks like a custom mount, built precisely for the Slee ladder.
Did you fabricate that yourself?
If not a Slee option, where/how did you acquire what looks like a made-to-fit mount?

Thanks again!
I just had some 3/16 flat plate bent up to my dimensions and holes drilled. The tire mount, I had a guy with a C&C do for me, is very similar to what slee uses for the right side tire mount. It only took me a few hours to do it.

I never even thought about it in that light. Based my comment on having to lift a similar tire/wheel back up into that location while lining up the three studs. Wasn't fun.
I haven't tried it but try lifting three full Gerry Can at the same time.
