Looking good. That shackle angle is going to need some work though. I doubt the weight of the vehicle will push them back, and even if it did, they would probably wanna invert while braking. I would just weight till you get more weight on there and then maybe move the shackle hanger forward.
 
I had a similar situation with the 70 series axel I put under my 45. But that was fixable. If that is 60 series axel you will need to outboard the front springs or get a different series front axel.

No outboarding. Definitely not changing axles. I'll figure out something.

Any reason why this won't fly?
 
You need something to stop the cardboard from sliding down the slope of the housing. What does it look like on the other side? Isn't it going to interfere with the differential bolts? You also need to consider the bump stop. It looks like the inverted bolts could be pointed at the bump stop position.
 
Weld the cardboard to the housing. Trim the bolts as needed i think I can maneuver away from the third bolts.

I will check the square ended u bolt. That Just might work.
