finished...4 months later than i wanted to be and it is finally ready to be delivered.
it fired up very nicely (this time around)
the brakes are killer
it shifts like new
it is quiet inside the cab.
the seats are very comfortable
i feel the look is clean, stockish and not "Tonka-Toy" at all.
it is not a perfect truck, there are flaws if you look closely. even though 4 months over i could spend another month perfecting it. in hindsight there are things i would have done differently, but hindsight is 20/20. the build will fill the customers needs and desires.
now the nervousness sets in, will the customer be happy? time will tell.
i have to type up instructions for the truck.
i will be assisting the customer with registration in California.
i will be assisting the customer with wheeling the unit and the ability to creep over the obstacles.
i will walk him through the different functions of the unit.
i will supply him with a factory shop manual for the basic 40 series, the 70 series parts and the 1HZ engine manual.
a long drive ahead of me.
thanks for following along on the build. i have enjoyed it immensely and it is time to move on to the next one starting mid November.
