Morning,
I have been receiving numerous requests for the 1HZ/HDT install kit.
Figured I can save all of us some time by posting a thread here and in the FJ40 forums. (if that is allowed.)
All prices are in USD, prices are increasing 10% April 2nd 2023.
Shipping is not included. I do have access to decent shipping costs but I can send packaging size and you can source your own shipping.
These parts are designed to be used in conjunction with each other. if you decide stray from the install instructions ... shug. don't whine.
there are dozens of kits out there now so as long as your model is 1969 - 1978 these part are proven to work.
You can also us the kit for 1979 to 1984 40s but the rad mount will need the mounting holes modified to work with the factory recievers.
I have heard that the cross member is different in some of the pre 1969 models, you might need to modify to work.
IF you have a kit and have issues I will try to help. wayne@crushersrule.com .
here we go

all parts are high zinc primer with matte black top coat Powder Coating.
All bolts are yellow zinc chromate where possible.
This kit works only with 1HZ, HDT, HDFT coupled to H55 transmission. If you wish to use the R series tranny that is your choice. The R series does not work well in the 40 series, nor the H150, H151.
The instruction manual MUST be followed.
Other custom parts might be offered in the future as requests are made.
this is the basic kit you will need to install a 1HZ/HDT H55 into a 40.

Just when I’ve got the ole 1F buttoned up and limping this comes along. @HemiAlex thanks for the heads up.

@crushers Beautiful bit of kit.
thank you
the F engine is a sweet powerplant. reliable, tons of grunt.

I assume you've totalled up the cost of a full kit? Maybe post that vs making everyone pull out a calculator?
