You can order the oil pump assembly I also believe you can order the entire complete timing cover with the oil pump sprocket set and cover installed.

I forget where my extra oil pump rotor set went. Timing cover comes pre-assembled as one unit which means you also don’t need the cover gasket.

Interesting that PartSouq no longer sources the one with TOYOTA on it in a Toyota box which is what I got ($65 for the privilege).

I biased toward redundancy v falling short as I wanted to minimize parts sourcing delays since I was on the clock at the machine shop and the mechanic where the LC sat engineless. Hopefully this saves some of you a few dollhairs.

Maybe someone who's done this before can chime in here. I'm looking at a P/N 11011-66020, still in the bag. So far as I and the @COYS list know, these are crankshaft thrust washers. Not that you'd know that from the Toyota label ("WASHER SET") or from the invoice listing ("BEARING, CON ROD"). Whatever; I'm assuming they are indeed thrust washers. Thing is, though, the "set" consists of 4 washers. Is that right--only 4 are needed? Thanks for any help!

I just checked. I didn't take pictures of mine in the package. But the old ones look the same as in your photo. I assume your engine is not yet torn down, so, you can't compare. If the part number is correct, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

only 4 needed, 1 upper and 1 lower for each side the journal. Piece of cake

On my disassembly for my 1fz refresh I checked the thrust clearance and didn't need to adjust my washer packs.

I think the best way to answer your question would be only four needed if that's all you need to achieve the proper amount of thrust, play back and forth. Whatever it takes to get inside the window that's how many washers are needed.

Very much available, on disassembly you with thank your lucky stars you have it, after the 3rd shattered wire connector you remove it will be worth every penny.

Absolutely, right! I was so thankful I went for the new harness, it's already a big job.

I also replaced a couple tough to get to items like the VVT on the head, and I figured why just PHH when I can replace the whole pipe.

I suppose if I had a wish list of things I wished I would have taken the time to do while I had all that space in the engine bay it would have been:

*Break booster and master
*Power steering everything and 105 sector
*I considered deleting my rear heater lines but everything was in good shape
*Should have sent in my steering wheel, I tend to run the 80 non stop as my primary I just dig driving it. I need to find a late 90s Toyota wheel that fits so I can send my steering wheel in.

My new short blocks sitting in my shop, I'm going to slowly continue to mass parts to build a new motor but I'm not in a hurry now since I refreshed my 1fz.

For posterity, I've transferred the parts list to a Google Sheet here. It'll include EGR/VSV, full exhaust replacement parts, etc.

It may not include every single bit you need, but it's about 98% there and likely to slowly dwindle as Toyota NLAs. Some may go as deep as I did, others may not. I simply relied on partsouq's diagrams and ih8mud to complete the build. It is missing the valve cover because for some reason I thought it wasn't available and it may still be available today so it's the only part I reused.

I'll update my first post with the a link to the sheet. Enjoy the grind/journey!

A small correction - if you order 'Timing cover 11310-66020', you will not need 'Oil pump rotor 15102-66020'. The rotor together with its lid is already installed into the timing cover. I did not realize that, so I bought both PN, so I already have the spare rotor to use when rebuilding the engine in 25 years. :0)
