Hi Folks,
I have an awesome truck and it kills me to sell it, but I'm doing it. I bought it in 2010. Drove it off the used car lot and began a cross country trip that same day. It was awesome! It has been very well looked after in my care. I put in a new engine in Dec 2016. Whoever had it before me ruined it. It runs perfectly and has no issues. If I kept it, I would put on new tires. The ones on it are good for another 5k.

California original, so no rust!

- 6k miles on the new rebuilt engine
- new front cat
- new oxygen sensor(front)
- newer power steering pump
- newer front right axle
- new front brakes
- new rubber on left side window, new felt on driver door
- new EGR valve

This truck has leather, power windows, door locks, sunroof, no lockers, I have the rear jump seats too! Truck is located in Los Angeles
$10.5k

If you are looking for some great bones in a Land Cruiser, this is the truck for you. Low low miles, no rust, great deal.

How many ACTUAL miles on the truck?
yeah its pretty annoying that some sellers always try to avoid giving an actual mileage when its one of the most important aspects of a vehicle. they love to say low miles or something, and makes you ask and wait for a reply only to get a reply when another vehicle is on hold. it should be required with a template so people know to put miles. even though its supposed to be common sense

Let me get this straight, you bought it in 2010, and put a new engine in 2016 because the LAST owner didn't took care of it? LOLOLOL

You forgot the part where he made a cross country trip the second day with no problems noted.

Alot can happen in 6 years.

The price might be a little high depending on the engine rebuild. Oem parts etc..

The miles are low but it all depends on maintenance.

i bet he didnt expect people to dissect his words to show that he made up a story to sell the car. but anyway lets see how he tries to cover up the lies with more lies.

Look at the paint condition in relation to those miles. And no interior pics?

Dam...y’all are ruthless. So the seller was not too clear with his initial description. If you have an interest I’d ask questions and give him a chance to respond. Not everyone here has experience selling vehicles. And seems to me 138k on the truck is acceptable. Peeling clear coat on a 20+ year old vehicle seems normal. Bugs question is to the point and well worth asking. A rebuild on a low mileage truck is worth further questioning. I may be wrong and this seller is a known con artist, but you guys are discrediting him right out of the gate. I’d choose to question those that post a vague advertisement the day they join MUD. Especially if they are asking a redicolous price and it’s obvious they have no clue what they are representing.

he didnt forget to put the miles. he intentionally left it off. he even went on and said "low miles" and adding that to the fact that he has a s*** story to blame others instead of himself shows what type of person he is. he is a dishonest person. using a bunch of low level tactics that only works for gullible people. Thing is... this is a forum and people respond to it. in fact he even sounds like a car salesman that just talks out their ass to sell a car. and its not that we ruthless. its more like we are looking out for each other in a community, although im also quite new to this forum

This is mud. We have expectations. Miles, under body pics, piles of maintenance records. Otherwise the flame gets turned on.

alright guys, If you look at Vaudo’s track record he’s not been too active. Although he’s been with us a few years I’d still give him the benefit of the doubt vs just flaming him. My recommendation is if you see an issue and you’ve actually asked the seller a question and you still feel he’s hiding something, then you can state your point with a bit of common courtesy. He responded within minutes on the mileage request. I’m assuming you guys know who your moderator is. Bottom line is he’s not got enough rope to even hang himself with. This is the first post he’s ever done. Unfortunately he was not prepared with the “required” data points prior to posting on this forum. Better to prove someone guilty vs them being guilty until proven innocent. Don’t want to assume this but are you guys active buyers or just trolling? If you have an issue with my response you’re welcome to PM me or even call me (713)-805-3962. I do not intend on getting into an argument via MUD and will not respond to this thread going forward. also, I see one of you are from CO. You should look up the Solid Axel Summit expedition. Would have been awesome to have had you (and anyone else with a solid axle rig) join us. Take care guys. Jimmy

^^^^^ this.

I stated that the price is fair depending on the amount of rebuild. I don't think anyone here really is serious about anything, just giving a hard time time maybe a mod should clean this guys for sale thread up.

I think if the seller is legit and really desires to sell this rig, he’ll respond positively and proactively. He will realize you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting an 80 series for sale right now, post up what details he can and drop that ask down a lil’ bit...

@Vaudo - just need better details; I.e. “new rebuilt”?

Rebuilt head/gasket = $$
Rebuilt Engine = $$$
Remanufactured Engine = $$$$
NEW OEM 1FZ = $$$$$

Hi all, sorry I thought that you got emails when people posted here so I am just now seeing all of these replies. I am happy to answer absolutely any questions about the truck. I bought the truck off a used car lot. He was trying to sell me a Land Rover and I told him that I needed to drive the truck across the country to work on a film in Massachusetts. When I told him that, he said that maybe the Land Cruiser was a better idea. If it broke down, I could get it repaired easily. He was reluctant to sell it as is because his plan was to fix the front fender, paint the whole thing and sell it for a few thousand more. But in the end, he sold it to me . I test drove it off and it pulled to one side. He said it needed an alignment. After bringing it to get an alignment, three different places, I discovered that the problem was an incorrect front tire size. I think that there will tell you the condition I bought it in. Additionally, the truck burned a quart of oil every time I filled up the tank. Every fill up! When I brought it to a mechanic who specialized in Land Cruisers, he told me that these engines are really hearty and that 99% it was not a bad engine and I should just keep putting oil in it because of how much it would cost to tear it all apart and figure it out. So I did that. It was a second vehicle and after returning back to California, I just continued to operate it like this until one day, it started to sound like a diesel engine. I had it repaired by a highly rated(Yelp) engine rebuilder and I have all the paperwork for that. The interior is 23 years old. The drivers seat has some patched tears in the back, where your back leans. I would throw some seat covers on it and be done. I've reupholstered seats before and its very expensive.

he didnt forget to put the miles. he intentionally left it off. he even went on and said "low miles" and adding that to the fact that he has a s*** story to blame others instead of himself shows what type of person he is. he is a dishonest person. using a bunch of low level tactics that only works for gullible people. har har....thanks for "looking out for everyone" rps13sr. My name is Andy Comeau...I'm an actor, musician and writer. Of the many jobs I have had, used car salesman isn't one of them. I don't understand your leap to accusations and presumption. If you are unclear about something, ask. I am totally fine admitting that I may not have written the best ad.

“Rebuilt engine” .....as in hg blown and redone? Or top and bottom end rebuilt??? Big $3-5k difference.
It was a complete rebuild. I believe I paid about $6k. The head gasket wasn't blown. There were some parts in there that were all chewed up. I'm not a mechanic and I would have to go dig up the work order to tell you exactly...point is: it was totally rebuilt and I can give you the paperwork on it, you can go talk to the mechanic, etc.
