More pics to those interested. This truck kind of fell in to my lap. A buddy of mine bought it from a guy who didn't really know anything about Land Cruisers, and then my buddy bought a Tundra and didn't have room to store it, so now I have it. I don’t know how to price it in its current state, let’s call it $5500.
I have 2 other Cruisers and I'm not really in need of a 3rd. It's a running, driving, stopping 3FE FJ80 that isn't rotted out. It however, isn't without issues. Has a 15 foot paint job. The headlights are poorly installed, presumably from the same people who painted it. Runs a little rough. Blink test reveals check engine light codes 21 and 28 for O2 sensor circuit. It appears that the O2 sensors were removed from the truck. It drives OK but idles a little funny. The transmission is occasionally rough on downshifts specifically. Upshifting is always smooth. Has wheel spacers to clear 33's but does seem to rub at full lock. Seems to have a pretty decent drip from the bellhousing area. Definitely oil and more than likely RMS but haven't dug much in to it. Seems to have an issue with the LR wheel brakes getting hot. Seller claimed that he had the wheel cylinder replaced but I don't know how true that is. I'm trying to be open about its condition so there is no surprises.
If I don't have interest I may just keep it as I've been toying around with SAS'ing one of my 100s. Has 220,xxx miles on it. Clean NJ title. In a perfect world, I’d love to trade this for a project FJ40, maybe a 60 - but I’ll sell it for cash. Located in South NJ, but I’d be willing to travel a reasonable distance.
