Hi Folks,
I have an awesome truck and it kills me to sell it, but I'm doing it. I bought it in 2010. Drove it off the used car lot and began a cross country trip that same day. It was awesome! It has been very well looked after in my care. I put in a new engine in Dec 2016. Whoever had it before me ruined it. It runs perfectly and has no issues. If I kept it, I would put on new tires. The ones on it are good for another 5k.

California original, so no rust!

- 6k miles on the new rebuilt engine
- new front cat
- new oxygen sensor(front)
- newer power steering pump
- newer front right axle
- new front brakes
- new rubber on left side window, new felt on driver door
- new EGR valve

This truck has leather, power windows, door locks, sunroof, no lockers, I have the rear jump seats too! Truck is located in Los Angeles
$10.5k

I think if the seller is legit and really desires to sell this rig, he’ll respond positively and proactively. He will realize you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting an 80 series for sale right now, post up what details he can and drop that ask down a lil’ bit...

@Vaudo - just need better details; I.e. “new rebuilt”?

Rebuilt head/gasket = $$
Rebuilt Engine = $$$
Remanufactured Engine = $$$$
NEW OEM 1FZ = $$$$$
Yeah, you said it...I was surprised how many of these were for sale. I would love to sell it and get something more practical, but its a pretty awesome truck and if I can't sell, there are worse things to be driving.

I stated that the price is fair depending on the amount of rebuild. I don't think anyone here really is serious about anything, just giving a hard time time maybe a mod should clean this guys for sale thread up.
If anyone has any questions please ask. I have zero secrets about this. I am not an off road person and I am not an expert on these trucks. It had 80k when I bought it.

Um okay...its weird you did that but yeah that's me. I identified myself because I have nothing to hide. And I think anonymity on the internet lures those who feel powerless in their lives to be small and unspool tedious jeremaids. Its easy to flame someone if you aren't in front of them. And I have nothing to hide about the truck. Its worth pointing out, I was only a minor celebrity at the height of my fame...stress on the minor and height. Short listed for an Emmy but never nominated. And not into political labels at all so I don't know what I am. I think you should work. Be kind. To everyone. Listen. Say please and thank you. And I think if you are walking around this Earth and you turned down your brother or sister that you could have helped, well, you missed it.

It's too bad people are automatically skeptical of others. I guess it's one of the constants of this time but it's still shi**y. Especially for a "tight nit community" protecting each other. The Land Cruiser community makes me smile more often than not, but I have to constantly remind myself, even LC owners can be and often are a$$holes.

Good luck to the seller, you probably won't be selling anything here though.

Plenty of good engine rebuilders in SoCal....so that could be a bonus unless it was a fellow struggling actor deciding to take a stab at engine rebuilding vs waitering. :)

Work was done by Wilson at One Stop Engine Rebuilders in Hawthorne, CA.

@Vaudo

Take some of it with a grain of salt, it’s just a protective community of misfits with a common addiction.

You just need to assess if you want to sell this here or not (or CL, eBay, keep etc..)

Here is what you have:
CA truck with no rust (prove that with lots of pics and/or Carfax) = pro
Used car lot story..... = con
Front fender needed fixing? How was it damaged/fixed? Accident? = con
95 Land Cruiser without lockers = con
Faded paint and worn interior = con
Engine rebuild = pro/con (depending on the work - post up the invoices)
Mixed bag of maintenance = con , (i.e. one axle repaired, one cat, one door rubber, one window seal etc...) these items should get repaired/replaced together, not ala carte.
“Tires have about 5K left”, means they need to be replaced = con
“I am not an off-road person...expert on these trucks” = con, because WE ALL ARE dammit! ;)

New buyer from Mud will be factoring in additional coin on baseline (all fluids changes), tires, seals, gaskets, pesky little hoses, and on and on.

Again, built rigs with 3 x lockers, LOTS of $$$$ in tires, bumpers, winches, armor, lights, full baselined and flawless maintenance histories are going for $12-18K.

So back to your asking price :hmm:. $0.02 - Restart by posting up more pics and service records. FWIW you are in SoCal, you definitely have a market.

Good points. I don't know about the dent on the fender, before my time. It's a pretty minor ding though. At the time I lived in a rougher neighborhood and liked that it didn't look real nice. As for maintenance, you guys(LC enthusiasts) are probably more sticklers about certain things. I would do what the mechanic said it needed. I honestly have no problem driving it into the ground. They are awesome trucks. From what I have seen even on here, my price is fair, but if someone wanted it and had an offer that made sense compared with what is currently on the market, I am all ears. If someone is actually interested in the truck feel free to ask any pertinent questions.
