The mats are very good quality.

These are later style mats with holes for retaining hooks at the back. That feature might be able to be retro-fitted to the earlier carpet.

So those aren't the holes where the giant screws go? Man I learn something new everyday. :)

I actually have a special die and the stainless grommets that fit the standard toyota floor mat clips if you want. Let me know. You have to pull the carpet as they are put on upside down but they look awesome. Replaced both grommets in my 100 series with the stainless ones. The stainless grommets are available on amazon for about 1 dollar per grommet.

While I have no idea how secure the mats would be on a bare metal or vinyl floor, between my carpet and the weight of the mats themselves, they do not move around in my Cruiser.

My BJ71, BJ74, and now my HZJ77 have back doors that squeak on occasion. This simple solution (rubberized tape around the striker/guide) will solve the issue. :)

Has anyone found a good product that will clean/brighten these rims without damaging the finish. I've tried the soap and water routine and it ain't cutting it.

Hello,

Paint polish might work. It does wonders on chrome emblems.

You can start by polishing with toothpaste and water, a simple non-scratching abrasive that deals well with coarse dirt and/or dents. Then the polish.

Hope this helps.
